Hey guys this is just a random idea that wouldn't leave me alone. Please read and review!
It's Ok to Cry
Edward opened his eyes blearily as he awoke. The light from above him almost seemed to blind him but he blinked a few times clearing his head - and his vision.
" Hey." A voice said.
That was a voice Ed recognized, his bastard superior.
Ed didnt reply, he was too focused on remembering. It had happened hadn't it? Small clips for his memories flashed through his mind.
" Are you ready?" Ed asked preparing himself for the worst possible outcome.
" Yes." Alphonse replied closing his eyes.
Ed hit his brothers metal body one last time before clapping his hands and sending a red light surging around him.
" You bastards what are you doing?" A harsh voice yelled.
Ed winced," Are you hurting?" Roy asked.
" No." Ed shook his head slightly and slowly..." He is..." Ed bit his lip," Isn't he?"
Roy sighed inwardly before taking a break," We didn't find any proof of that at the scene." he replied," What we did find, is a human transmutation circle and remains of a red substance Maes and I have neglected to mention to the state. What the hell did you do?"
" I...think I lost him." Ed felt his eyes stinging," I fucked up. And he probably died because of me..." his throat started closing up, making it even harder to breath.
" Fullmetal-."
Ed turned his head away," Where are we now?"
" East command center hospital." Roy stated.
" Why am I here? Why wasn't I sent in for interrogation then executed?" Ed asked shooting redning eyes Roys way.
" Because you almost died!" Roy yelled.
" Yeah and Alphonse did!" Ed yelled back.
" You don't know that." Roy defended.
" Yeah I do." Ed grimiced," Once his soul reached the gate it probably would have returned to his original body, which would have lead him to the other side of the gate, whatever in hells back there."
" Fullmet-."
" Please," Ed cut him off," Just leave..."
Roy stood from his seat as he walked towards the door," Its ok to cry Ed." he took a step back towards the foot of Eds bed," You don't have to hide the pain of losing someone. It'll kill you."
Ed felt the tears overflow as his throat constricted sending him into a fury of wracked sobs.
Roy winced as he left the room wishing he could do more for his subordinate," I'm sorry." he whispered as the door shut behind him.
