Here is my second prompt. I had 'second,' which can be interpreted several ways. So here is the second interpretation. Lots of dialogue.

Disclaimer: I hate Dan Schneider right now. But soon, I'll hopefully love him again. And I promise I am not a Tennessee-born man.

Second

"Did you really have to talk to Vega about some stupid project Sikowitz assigned over a week ago?" Jade and Beck were having another of their infamous fights, and of course, it was over Miss Tori Vega.

"He assigned us to work together," Beck said.

"I don't care if she was assigned to punch you in the face! I don't want you talking to her!"

"Why do you hate Tori so much?"

Jade raised an eyebrow and had that snarl like a lion about to attack. "She was rubbing you on her first day, she kissed you on her second day, she's always taking the roles I deserve in every play, AND she obviously has a crush on you." It was the most obvious thing in the world, and Beck still didn't realize it?

"She doesn't have a crush on me-"

"Yes. She. Does."

Beck took a deep breath, knowing the next thing he said could potentially get him killed. He knew Jade had at least two pairs of scissors on her person, and they were alone in his RV. They should have been naked in his bed right now, her with that stupid grin she gets and him just holding her without a care in the world, not fighting over his conversation with Tori.

"Why do you really hate Tori? I know those aren't the only reasons."
Jade's eyes widened and Beck could almost feel her scissors cutting out his tongue.

"What?" That was the dangerous tone you had to learn to stay away from. He was incredibly worried about what might happen next, so he cautiously went about this.

"You have something else you're holding back. I don't know what, but I can tell."

They stared at each other for a while. Beck needed to break through the wall she was putting up against him. He hated it, and he had worked through their entire relationship to break it down. But it wasn't working at the moment. Beck hated not being able to see into her and automatically know what she was thinking.

It was obviously time to bring out the big guns since she wasn't breaking. His eyes widened and his mouth formed the pout he had worked years to perfect. Jade could never resist his puppy dog face.

That little glimmer of light in her icy blue eyes showed him that he had won. Jade rolled her eyes at him and he smirked. He couldn't help it. She turned her eyes away from him and looked everywhere but directly at him.

"I just don't like…coming in second."

Now he was confused. "What?"

"Tori is always first, and I'm right behind her. I used to be first, but now I'm not anymore. I just don't like coming in second."

Even though she wasn't saying that much, Beck understood exactly what she was implying. Tori is always first and she can't stand that. This was a reference to every fight she and Tori have had that he hadn't stuck up for her in, every performance she had to be Tori's understudy, every kiss she had to watch Tori and Beck have on stage, every glance, no matter how small, that Beck gave to Tori. He understood it all.

Jade was burning a hole through his floor and he grabbed her chin.

"Don't you ever think you can come in second to Tori. You're better than her. Hell, you're better than the entire Hollywood Arts student population. And even if you aren't, you'll always be first in my book."

Beck leaned down and kissed her passionately on the mouth. Before they could take it too much further, Jade pushed him off and rolled her eyes at him.

"You're such a sap."

Only Beck would be able to see the tiny hint of a smirk she had hidden by her tough exterior. She could never come in second, because she was simply Jade West.
