P7J-492 was just another of one of those extremely boring, nothing special, totally not mind-blowing ordinary planets with trees. Lots, and lots of trees. It was one of those planets on which you pick a few soils samples, go back home trough the Gate and hope your home in time for dinner. It was one of those planets that you never, ever go back to again. As a matter of fact, Sam thought, it was barely worth it, getting out of bed this morning to travel to this mind-bogglingly boring planet. I mean, what a total waste of trip across the Galaxy. Geez, next time they should send us somewhere where stuff actually HAPPENS! Sometimes it can be such a drag travelling to other plan… Sam let out a howler of laughter that made Jack jump, Daniel scream and Teal'c slowly turn his head.
'Carter?' Jack asked, looking at Sam, bent over double trying to contain the pains of laughter shooting through her.
'I'm…' Sam began, grasping for air. 'I'm… I'm fine… I… oh God this hurts.'
'Sam,' Daniel said, moving up beside her and steadying her. 'Are you OK?'
'Yes, oh God, I'm fine… oh, my, I'm gonna die of laughter…' Sam said in-between bouts of laughter. She sat down on a nearby log, and waved of any help as she struggled to regain her posture. After a good eternity, she managed to finally do that.
'Carter?' Jack asked her.
'I'm sorry Sir,' Sam said, standing up, and dusting herself off, 'I was just thinking about how silly it is for us to be walking around on a planet on the other side of the Galaxy and thinking about how boring it is.' The three boys all gave her questioning looks. 'Isn't it?' asked Daniel.
'We travel to other PLANETS for crying out loud! Do you realise how amazing that is?! I know people who'd kill for an opportunity like this. I mean, we're on another PLANET on the other side of the GALAXY!' Sam exclaimed. The three boys continued to stare at Sam. Daniel shrugged and started towards the Stargate. Teal'c bowed his head and joined Daniel. Jack stared at Sam. 'Sir?' Sam said.
'I travelled to another Galaxy once,' Jack said, as he headed off towards the Gate. Sam bent over triple with laughter.
