A/N: In this fic, Sakura has her feathers back, but as promised, no memories of what she and Syaoran had been before.
"You have your feathers back now." Yuko smiled at Sakura. "Would you like to return to your country?" she was grateful for Fei Wong's death; much as she had resented Clow, it had been nothing compared to her hatred for him.
Sakura stepped forward hesitantly. "I would like you ask a question." She began awkwardly. "I want to regain the missing part of my memory."
Yuko turned away so that they wouldn't see her expression. "You have already regained all of it." She replied coldly. "There is nothing more."
"There is a presence," Sakura whispered. "In so many of my memories..."
Yuko remained silent.
"I think that I had loved him." Sakura's voice was now barely audible. "I would like to know who he is." She gazed up at the witch pleadingly. "Please?"
"I cannot."
"I will pay the price."
"I cannot help you, Sakura."
Sakura nodded miserably.
Syaoran stood, frozen. What could he say? For a moment, he contemplated running forward and telling the truth, but fear kept him where he was. The fear of being rejected. What if she didn't believe him? He would only cause her more pain.
He kept silent, the hood shadowing his face, hiding his emotions.
"I know of someone who may be able to help."
"Who?"
"I have a sister, Yukiko." Yuko replied. "She is free to help at no cost, but the route is long and dangerous. In addition, you cannot teleport there."
"Thank you."
The group turned to leave.
"Syaoran, come here for a moment."
Syaoran complied, wondering if the witch would give him some useful information to assist in their quest.
"Do not tell Sakura the truth. Otherwise, she may perish."
Syaoran looked up in alarm. "Why?!" he demanded, worried.
"What I take cannot be returned this way. I'm sorry." Yuko took a locket from Watanuki. "Please hand this to Sakura. Her mother entrusted it to me for safekeeping."
Syaoran nodded his thanks. "I will."
"There is something for you, as well." Yuko gave him a similar locket. "There lockets are linked. They will protect both of you."
Syaoran took it. "The payment?"
"It had already been paid when Fei Wong Reed was defeated."
With that, Mokona took them to another world.
A/N: I think some of the characters are OOC. Fyi, if Sakura finds out this way, she could die or go insane. Feel free to pinpoint errors and quibble!
Yukiko means something similar to "Little Snow".
