"So this is Earthland, huh?" Edolas-Gajeel tapped his pen to his chin thoughtfully.
"Cool, huh?" Gajeel grinned at his doppelganger after a performance of shooby doo bop in the guild's very own beer hall.
"Quite. And I do believe I should get a suit like the one you're wearing right now. I'm glad to know that the Earthland me has good taste in music and clothing too."
"Gajeel!" Levy chirped as she walked over. "Eh?" she froze at the sight of the second Gajeel.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Gajeel. Gajeel of Edolas."
Jet and Droy who came up from behind Levy looked displeased. "How did you get here?"
"I'm a man of fact and truth. After becoming aware of this other world, I had to see it for myself. As I played a part in saving the Kingdom, Prince Jellal granted me this trip with the last of his magic power."
Levy was taken aback. "You're so different!"
Gajeel put an arm around his look-a-like's shoulder. "Are you kidding me? We've got a lot in common!"
Edolas-Gajeel gave Levy an appraising look. "So are you. You and Lucy fight and bicker every second you see each other in Edolas."
"Me and Lu-chan?" she laughed. "No way."
She peered down at his notepad, filled with ink and scribbles. Her eyes lit up. "Are you a writer?"
"I'm a journalist." Edolas-Gajeel proclaimed, pleased that she had noticed.
"That's amazing! What kind of articles do you write? Can I see them? I love to read!"
"Oi, oi…" Gajeel muttered as Edolas-Gajeel smugly produced a pile of articles from his briefcase and Levy slid next to him on the bench in excitement.
"Mira-san…are my eyes going bad...is that Jet, Droy and Gajeel sitting at the same table without picking a fight with each other?" Lucy asked as she plodded down at the bar, Plue in her lap.
"Oh my." Mirajane smiled. "Look at what they're staring at."
Lucy's gaze followed the three brooding men at one end of the guild, to the other end of the beer hall, and found herself staring at a laughing Levy and animated Edolas-Gajeel, chatting away over a table full of books, paper and pens.
Lucy gawked.
Jet, Droy and Gajeel, sitting in a neat row, remained rooted to their seats, glaring. "GO HOME ALREADY."
