Author's note: Ok this is my first Harry Potter fiction. So here is goes.

Hermione P.O.V.

I was walking through the empty battle field of the final war. We had won He-who-must-not-be-named has been defeated, for the time being, as my boyfriend Harry Potter would say. I walk by many bodies of the passing, looking down to see Harry's followers and his followers. Then I come across the body of a former classmate of mine, Draco Malfoy. I bend down, on my knees by him and look at his body. He was a good looking man, long blond hair that covered his eyes most of the time, those gray eyes that showed so much emotion. I then realized that I was going to miss those eyes even if all they ever showed for me was hate and nothing more, or so I though.

I picked up my hands placing one in his and the other on the side of his face. I brought it down to the place on his neck were his pulse was suppose to be. Thump, Thump, Thump. That can't be possible. I thought to myself. I saw Harry put the killing curse on himself. There was no way that he could still be alive. I rested my hand there again and again felt the thumping of his pulse. I let go of his hand and sat Indian style, cradling his body like a baby's.

I performed many healing spells on him, almost nothing work. Some of them would make his heart go faster, and then it would slow down again. There was one more thing that I could and would try before I would finally leave him. Slowly I brought my wand to his lips and muttered one more spell and then I brought my lips down to his, for no longer than a moment.

I pulled back up and set down my wand. I put my hand on his pulse, again, and felt it getting stronger. After what seemed like a lifetime, Draco began to breathe normally again. His eyes fluttered open to look up at me. He said two words to me but they meant more to me than any word that Harry will and have every said to me.

"Thank you." The weak angelic voice said.

"Draco, rest. You are safe." I said as he fell back into a peaceful sleep.

I have no idea how long I held him like that but it wasn't until I heard footsteps in the distance that I decided to hid him. I knew of a small shack that has once been part of the Order. I took Draco inside and took him into the bedroom. I put him on the bed, shut off the light and went to the kitchen to make something to eat.

I was making myself I ham and cheese sandwich when my cell phone vibrated in my front jean pocket. I looked at the caller idea and the number, to me, was unknown. I answered it to find an angelic voice on the other end.

"Where am I?" It asked. I closed the phone and went in to the bed room with the sandwich on a paper plate. I brought it over to the bed and he sat up.

"You are in a small shack that was used as a hid out during the war." I answered giving him the sandwich. He took it and ate it. When he was finished he asked.

"How did you save me?" His voice was still weak but he wanted answers.

"Well I was walking along the war yield when, I came across your body. I bent down and you still had a pulse. I tried a few spells and your breathing became normal again then I brought you here." I answered him talking the plait from him forcing him to lay back down on the bed, getting ready to clean him. He was covered with cuts, bruises, and blood. The next question he asked I was not ready for.

"Why did you save me?"

Ok so this is it. Keep it? It kind of goes along the lines of the movie Triston and Isolde, with some different plot twists. Review, please.
