I broke my semi-hiatus because I reread Memory of Red this past week.
Contains small MikoTotsu Fluff
I do not own any characters.
I hope you enjoy!
One day in particular, when the afternoon sun has high up in the sky and the bar was as quiet as a mouse, Mikoto moved himself from his room upstairs back to the worn out couch, just grunting a "Good Morning" to Izumo, who was stationed in his usualy spot at the bar.
"I'm surprised you're up this early today. Any plans?" The bartender asked, cheerfulness in his voice.
Mikoto didn't bother to look at him but replied, "It was getting too stuffy up there."
Izumo only hummed, not even trying to bother with a conversation when the other party was emitting the sense that it was not welcomed.
Carefully, Mikoto lowered his body to stretch out on the couch, shutting his eyes and escaping to his abyss of peace.
Finally, Izumo straightened himself up, gathering his belongings before going over to Mikoto.
"Hey, Mikoto. I'm leaving for a bit. Watch the bar for me?"
Although not 100% certain that his friend had heard him, Izumo turned around and headed straight to the opening door.
"If you mess up my bar, I'll kill you remember!" He shouted out before locking it behind him.
Mikoto opened his eyes, sighing as the words of his friend registered. But as always, his eyes shut once more.
A good 30 minutes after the bartender had left the building, the shaking of the front door knob echoed inside the bar (but unheard by the sleeping lion over on the couch). A sound emitted from the knob and carefully the door creaked open, with a cheery voice, "Ah! The key worked!"
Coming through the door, Tatara entered and slowly closed the door behind him. He dropped his stuff off at the side of the bar, before exploring to see if anyone was home.
But instantly his search ended when he noticed the peak of red hair sticking out from the couch and the tips of Mikoto's feet over the couch's side. A smile blossomed on the brunette's face and he quietly made his way over.
"King~!" He whispered as he was hovering over the other man, noticing that he was in a deep sleep.
Tatara looked over at the clock, seeing it was around 1 in the afternoon. He shrugged, and tip-toed until he was inches away from Mikoto. Carefully, as to not disturb the other man from his sleep, Tatara maneuvered himself on top of his King, fitting his body to lay on the other's body but not completely having his body on him. His head lay on the older man's chest, the sounds of a steady heart beating away at his eardrums.
A small sigh escaped Mikoto's lips but he remained passed out, and quickly did the Vassal find himself asleep as well.
A while later, Mikoto rosed from his nap and felt a weight on top of him. He looked down to be greeted by a mop of golden-brown hair. Mikoto could feel the other man's breathing, at ease and almost relaxing in a way.
Mikoto placed a hand along the back of Tatara and eased his was back into sleep.
The two didn't wake up until Izumo and Anna walked into the bar, hours later.
It is really small, I could maybe go more into this side story? I'm not sure. I just wrote it on whim this past week. But again I hope you enjoyed it.
Also, thank you all for your reviews, I promise that on my next story that I will name all of you who have been so kind to me these past month in publishing these stories. I'm so happy there is a loving community out here for MikoTotsu.
Hope you all are well!
