Okay, so frankly I forgot about this story until last night, when I went to write chapter 2 and I realised how poorly written this chapter was, so I decided to rewrite it. I will probably have the next chapter out by next week, but it will not be comets pt 2 as I would like to take a break from this. Instead I will probably do a chapter either about a revolutionary ghost, a high Elf or one were the Guardians realise Jack is a reanimated corpse. All of these were requests but I was planning on doing something along the lines of those anyway, soooo…. on with the story!

It was a full moon on the faithful night that the guardians found out Jacks secret. On the night of the winter solstice, Jack Frost was completing his seasonal duties by spreading winters essence through dance. It was a requirement of all the seasonal spirits to spread their seasons essence in a dance on their solstice and Jack was no exception. The only problem was that when Jack danced he reverted back to his other form, his true form. If anyone else were to see him dancing they would know that he was not a human turned spirit as so many believed, not from Earth despite being a seasonal, and was definitely not a harmless winter sprite. No, Jack was none of these things and he would have liked it if no one ever knew the truth about his past. As if that would ever happen. Things have a way of getting out, especially when you are family with the Guardians.

The North Pole

The Guardians were gathering for the monthly meeting; Easter had just passed for the first time since Pitch's attack on the bringers of Hope, Wonder, Dreams, Memories and recently Joy, so they had lots to review. They were about to start when Bunny realised Jack was missing, Jack was still new to the Guardians so he was occasionally forgotten about. Couple this with Jack's tendency to be late or forget meetings and, well… you get the idea. Bunny was frankly annoyed.

"Wait a minute, Frostbites missing. I bet he's forgotten again."

Tooth looked away from the fairies she was giving instructions to, Sandy woke up and tried to pretend that he was awake the whole time while North just glared at Bunny. After all, he had just been about to address this very issue. "Manny has told me Jack could not make it to meeting, also that he has something special to show us."

The cossack sat down while grabbing a cookie from an elf holding a tray of them, for all their faults the elves were excellent cooks. "What, couldn't make it?" Bunny sighed "If MIM wants to show us something without Jack theres probably a good reason."

Meanwhile, Sandy was trying to get the others attention. Not that anyone had noticed. Sandy eventually just grabbed a nearby elf and shook it; it was proving to be the most efficient way of getting peoples attention these days. Sandy made an image of the moon above his head and pointed at the skylight window. "Hello Manny, you said you vhanted to show us something?"

A moonbeam travelled through the air, down to the guardians symbol on the floor. A shadow that was obviously meant to be Jack was shown by the moonbeam. "Follow him to his lake in Burgess and all your questions shall be answered, but make sure you stay hidden until after he is finished." The delicate voice of the moonbeam left their ears, travelling back up to the moon. The Guardians proceeded to do as they were told, curious as to why they had to stay hidden and what Jack could possibly be doing.

Jacks Lake, Burgess

The Guardians hid behind the bushes in the forest that housed Jacks Lake. It was the peek of winter and yet there was only a light dusting of snow covering this particular area. "Look! There's Jack!" Squealed Tooth in a hushed voice while the others shushed her. Jack indeed had just landed in the middle of the iced over lake. As he landed delicate frost patterns spread out from his feet looking like ferns that unfurled across the lake reaching every edge of the ice and covering any flaws in the crystal like surface. Jack was not wearing his usual hoodie and pants, but rather a thin white colonial style shirt under a translucent light blue cape (think Jacks original outfit but different) and three quarter royal blue pants. Jack stilled, took a deep breath and proceeded to drag his staff behind him while he danced gracefully to music only he could hear. It was a slow, leaping dance at first that quickly progressed into a flitting whirlwind of movements.

Meanwhile the Guardians watched in awe as snow started falling beautifully, frost covered the tree trunks and the whole forest seemed to glimmer in the moonlight as a result of Jacks dancing. Thats when things started to get strange. Jacks skin was turning pale blue with glowing electric blue marks on his face, arms, chest and feet. His ears elongated and sharpened to a point, similar to a fairy tail elves may have. His hair crystallised in wild spikes all over the place and two pointed teeth were peeking out from his mid blue lips. Coming from slits in his shirt were two crystal wings that shimmered all the different shades of blue underneath the moonlight. Even more surprisingly a thin light blue tail slipped out a slit in this pants, shining and trailing sparks of white and blue through the air whenever he moved. Lastly his eyes shone like rainbows, every colour shining protectors of children were still awestruck, trying to figure out what was happening when the winter sprite stopped and flew away to whoever knows where.

"Okay… did everyone else just see that or am I going crazy?" asked Tooth who was honestly doubting her sanity. North just nodded wide eyed while Sandy created and image of a lightbulb above his head with a happy look on his face to accompany it.

"Whilst travelling across the universe working as a Pookan general I often got to meet a certain race of celestial beings. These were the comets that travelled millions of lightyears through the universe, bringing joy to everyone they met. During the first war with Pitch most of them were forced to land on planets to hide from the fearlings." Bunny recalled his memories, slipping into what the others called his posh voice. Sandy was nodding in agreement while North and Tooth were just wondering what all this had to do with Jack.

"I believe that Jack is one of these comets, hiding amongst us. Although, I don't understand why he wouldn't leave now or drop the disguise now that we've defeated Pitch?" North had a thoughtful look on his face while the others were sitting there in awkward silence.

"We shall talk to Jack about this later, but for now lets call it a night, huh?" The other Guardians agreed and they went about their own ways, questioning how much they really knew about Jack.

Okay, make sure to request a chapter if you have a good idea and please fav, follow and most importantly review!
