The billionaire glared at the Captain, he clenched his teeth. No one could ever imagine what jealousy and hate he had for Steve. All his life he worked his hardest to make his father proud but was never able to reach up to Captain America's level. Ever since he could remember, he worked day and night, to show his father he was worthy of being his son. The only thing he had ever wanted was his father to say 'Tony, I love you.' or 'I'm proud of you kiddo.' However, that day never came. He remembered dressing up as Captain America when he was small, he would run around the house and react the stories he was told. He had even went up to his father once and told him, 'Dad! I'll be the next Captain America! I can do it!' Tony had the biggest smile across his face until his dad told him something that broke his heart.
'You're no Steve Rodgers, Tony.' After that day the young genius never played superhero again.
Now, before his very eyes, the very person he used to admire was standing in front of him. Talking to him as if he was nothing.
'Big man in a suit of armor. Take that away, what are you?' Captain America's bright eyes staring into Tony's.
'Uh, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.' He smirked a cocky smile. Of course, he would never tell anyone how bad those words hurt him. He felt as if he were stabbed through the heart. This time he was determined to show that he wasn't nothing, he would bring honor to his father's name. Most of all, he would show the super soldier that he's every bit as good as him.
