…The Battle is history. Witches and wizards
now spend one more peaceful and sunny July.
Teddy's eleven, he just got his letter,
the school year is soon, and the time hurries up.
The orphan, dry-eyed though, is brought up by wizards;
he knows why his parents are dead and what for:
they'd wanted his world to be war free and friendly.
They had loved him so much that they died for peace.
…The train just sets off, Teddy's there, in the crowd,
and lots of good things wait for him in the school.
He's silently watching the landscape and thinking.
The night of the Friday, the moon will be full.
He is not a werewolf, but when it is moony,
he can't fall asleep, for some reason, at all.
And, though he is not fortuneteller, it's clear
that something will happen to him on that night.
…Teddy's awake, knowing how to go out.
The magic is waiting for him outside.
Somebody glides on the lake in the moonlight,
like the Milky Way has become a staircase.
The time stands by him, as attentive and silent,
not knowing what it can do now with itself.
The moon glade's being walked by human-like beasts,
and Teddy is certain: he knows who they are.
The moon's shining over the school and the grounds,
sewing the ages with its milky rays.
Like years ago, they creep from the castle -
Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs.
