Sonya sighed as soon as she left the orchestra room. Today had been a long hectic practice mainly because some of the members were to hyped up on other things to actually do their part.
Luckily for her no ghosts decided to show up and bother her-it was something they usually did when they learnt that she could see them.
Looking around the empty school building, being that it had been two hours since closing time, Sonya decided to head home before anyone else could interrupt her.
However there was somebody waiting for her.
"Sonya, hey!"
Turning around, she caught sight of one of her classmates-Keigo Asano, who was waving his arm out to grab her attention.
"Hello Keigo," she greeted, "what are you still doing here?"
He laughed nervously, rubbing his hand through his brown hair before smiling, "well I was actually waiting for you."
She blinked, processing his words before cocking her head. "Why?"
"Well, do I really need a reason to walk a pretty girl home?" He asked cheekily.
Sonya knew that if she said no, then he would still follow her home so reluctantly she yes, although her cheeks warmed up at the thought of Keigo waiting just for her.
So the two teens set off from the school, discussing about interests and latest news.
During the way, Keigo would sometimes brush his hand against Sonya's, which she took note of. She rolled her eyes although a smile did appear on her face.
"Ichigo's been acting weird and I think I has something to do with the new girl, Rukia Kuchiki. Do you think they're dating?!" Keigo complained before widening his eyes.
Sonya did not comment on it because she really didn't' have an interest in Ichigo. Instead she noticed, to her annoyance, that some ghosts were trying to follow them.
She glared at them but Keigo happened to catch her and thought she was annoyed by him.
"A-ah I'm sorry, if I'm annoying you," he mumbled, grabbing her attention.
"What? You're not annoying me, Keigo," she said with a warm smile which made the brunette blush.
Eventually they made it to Sonya's house without much trouble (besides the ghosts annoying her). However instead of just leaving, both of them stood on her lawn awkwardly.
"So…, well I guess I should get going then." Keigo said while Sonya tried not to show her disappointment.
"Yeah…"
Not liking the awkward situation and suddenly getting courage, Keigo spun around and walked over to Sonya until he was in her personal bubble.
"Keigo, what's wrong-"
She never got to finish because the next thing she had known was that Keigo's lips were on hers. At first she didn't know what to do, even contemplating hitting him but then her body took over and now she was returning his kiss.
After a few minutes they finally separated for air. Breathing heavily, Keigo smirked at Sonya.
"See ya at school tomorrow!"
And then he dashed off and as he left, Sonya realized that he lived the other way from her.
She shook her head, "idiot."
