Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains, forgetting so easily that we are remnants, byproducts, of a forgotten past.

Legends of our past… so many don't believe those legends I for one do. Why? Well my family is part of that past. In the beginning of time darkness engulfed the world and there was almost no hope for faunus and humankind. But with the discovery of dust, heros began to rise and bring hope to the survivors of the Grimm's vicious attacks.

One of those heros, was my grandfather. He gave humanity hope and he and a few others gave birth the the foundations that later became the city of Vale. The only thing that remains of him is a statue of the founders and his bloodline. While he was off duty he met a women who became my grandmother.

Together they gave birth to my father who later fought in the Human-Faunus war. He was known for making humans disappear if they mistreat Faunus POWs. In this era people either carried a blade or a gun. There was no combined weapons, My father unlike his father before him carried two daggers.

After the war my father settled down, found a spouse and fathered two girls, my brother, and me. While we were all taught valuable traits like hunting, fishing, firestarting and the ability to fight. My sisters who were the oldest went on to follow their dreams.

Meanwhile my brother Doug the second youngest trained with our father and eventually when to Signal Academy. Whenever Doug came home he would tell me stories and show me fighting moves he learned. Finally when it came time to craft their own weapons Doug gave me his old blade, a curved 23inch sword. Getting this blade opened up a whole new world of opportunities and following in my bloodlines footsteps I trained for weeks. Eventually the time came for my decision whether I wanted to go the Signal or not.

I took the chance and Me, Doug, and his girlfriend Yang Xiao Long set out to Signal Academy. The first day started with making my first friend, while it was Yang's sister Ruby Rose it still counted.

Two years later tensions between Faunas and humans rose. In the middle of all of it me and Ruby trained. Ruby at this point had donned a cloak and wielded a HCSS (High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe) named Crescent Rose. She didn't look like much but damn when the scythe came out it was like you were staring death in the face. As for me my father gave me a set of white robes with a cape and hood. The cape was made to hide any weapons sheathed on my left hip. While in Signal I met a boy named Gaige who taught me how to freerun.

Doug and Yang graduated while me a Ruby continued our school year. This is where the story ends and the legend begins.
