This fan fiction is based on the characters on the NextGen RPG forum run by my uber awesome friend Hanna (Mesteria). Lysander Scamander (face: Dave Franco) belongs to Ellie (s i l v e r a u r o r a), and Brianna McLaggen (face: Teresa Palmer) belongs to me.

Lysander was sitting down, enjoying a little relaxation before he went off to bed. In his hands was a large, leather-bound book, and his eyes were flying from one side of the page to the other as he read at an incredible pace, greedy for words. He was so engrossed in the book, he didn't hear the knocks on the door.
"Ly?" a female voice called through. The knocks became hurried, louder, more incessant. "For goodness' sake, Ly, open the goddamn door. I know you're in there."
The boy didn't pay attention, mouth slowly dropping open and breathing almost irregular. His pulse was racing, and almost came to a dead stop as the story hit its climax, the same time that his door was blasted open.
"Lysander Scamander."
His head didn't so much as turn, hardly registering the forced presence of the blond girl as she approached him, talking at top speed. "For goodness' sake, Ly! When you of all people don't answer the bathroom door, I get worried! You know what happened last – are you crying?"
At the high-pitched tone of incredulity, Lysander woke up to his surroundings (the bathroom – boys', while we're on that subject!) and immediately ducked his entire head below the water. He popped back up like a cork, and faced the girl with a bright smile.
"Crying, what crying?" he asked innocently. Then he realised exactly who he was talking to. "Brianna! Do you mind? This is the boys bathroom!" He quickly flattened the book across the top of the water around his midriff area.
Brianna didn't look impressed. "Please. We all know you wear swimming trunks whenever you take a shower in the possibility that I come in without knocking." She stepped forwards and tried to read the book from where she was, and as such, her position would have looked strange to anyone who happened to come in.
Lysander quickly flipped the book cover up, protesting, "You always come in without knocking."
Brianna shot him a frosty glance. "I knocked today, actually, had you cared to notice." She sashayed her way to the door, calling over her shoulder, "And no need to be so modest, Ly. Between the two of us, we know I'm not that innocent."
Sending him an evil smirk and a quick wink, she slammed the door behind her, and Lysander could hear her parting words, "Try not to drown this time!"
