Lita walked away from Trish after slapping her. She couldn't help but wonder if she were that conceited she'd only react when she made fun of her weight. What was wrong with her? She wondered. Her mind had sort of wandered during that whole exchange. She lost her baby, her husband, or rather soon to be ex-husband, was in the hospital. Her ex-boyfriend was recovering from knee surgery and a back injury. And now she had let Trish get the best of her.
There was a small plus to all of this. Kane had said he'd give her a divorce. Of course the reason behind it was a bit shocking. She had no idea Kane had known. Or how he had found out. The only person who knew was her doctor and she had asked him not to disclose the test results to anyone. So how did he find out? It really wasn't important anymore. It wasn't going to bring back everything she lost.
But how could she ever tell Matt that everything she has done was for him? What would he do when he found out the truth? Would he hate her? Of course he would hate her! She kept something from him and lied to everyone even herself.
She grabbed her bag from her locker room. She had been told there was no reason for her to be there that night. She wondered if she hadn't attacked Trish if she would have actually been used.
As she picked it up a note fell out. On it was written in blood red ink:
Does Matt know it was his?
She knew Kane's handwriting and knew it couldn't have been him. Who was the one who knew?
Her phone rang. She answered it. "He.."
"Where's Matt?" Someone demanded before she could finish that sentence.
"Jeff?"
