Tales of the Lifestream- Crisis Core
The Lifestream, a river of life that circles the Planet, giving life to the world and everything in it. People who died return here, bringing along everything; their memories, emotions, and the experience they had while alive. The Lifestream is a some kind of "Guardian" of the Planet, healing scars in the Planet. But the ShinRa Electric Company drained the planet of this essence, leading to various events and tragedies. A couple of years ago, the "son" of Jenova emerged, bringing calamity and destruction to the Planet in the form of Sephiroth, the One- Winged Angel. A mercenary, known as Cloud Strife and his allies, the group otherwise known as the eco- terrorist AVALANCHE, stopped this threat. But that conflict left scars in the Planet, sacrifices can't be avoided. Aerith Gainsborough, the last of the Cetra, an ancient race, and prior to the conflict, Zack Fair, Cloud's friend and mentor, died a horrible death and the Lifestream was damaged.
A year passed since then. The people in Midgar, the place where Meteor struck, suffered from Geostigma. A disease used by the Remnants of Sephiroth, in order to revive their fallen "brother" and Jenova, their "mother." Cloud Strife and co. stopped this threat yet again, and cured the people of their Geostigma. 2 more years after that, Vincent Valentine, a former TURK, and Cloud's friend and ally, found a new threat, an organization called Deepground, while being manipulated by Hojo, a lunatic scientist that started everything and stole Vincent's life and his love, Lucrecia Crescent, planned on using Omega, the trump card of the Planet to eradicate the Planet, but failed and was destroyed, along with Midgar.
At the Lifestream, Zack Fair, is seen sitting down with his girlfriend, Aerith. Zack sighed, and Aerith giggled. Zack looked at Aerith and said "Aerith, it's kind of boring in the Lifestream isn't it?" Aerith chuckled and replied :
"Yup. Hey,umm, Zack?"
"Hum?"
"Why don't you tell me more about your life? We didn't really get a chance to talk much when we're alive, didn't we?"
"Yeah, guess you're right. Just because of Hojo, and our fool of a President ShinRa, we ended up like this."
Aerith smiled and said " Why don't you start?"
"Ok. Well I was born at Gongaga, a backwater country. I dreamed of joining SOLDIER, which for the most part, I regretted now because of the whole Nibelheim Incident. But... I got to meet you, Cloud, Angeal, and the others didn't I?"
Aerith blushed and held on to Zack's arm. Zack blushed too and continued:
" This is where my story starts; the story of a Hero!"
