Have you ever been so sick of drama you wished it away?

Has wishing it away, ever actually worked?

Eleven months ago, I found something. Something big, but small. Something amazing, but boring.

Something that can't be explained, without a thesaurus.

I would love to start from the beginning of the story, but the beginning isn't pretty. But is any beginning ever pretty?

I'll start more or less from the beginning.

'KAIRI! GET BACK HERE NOW!' My father was yelling from the front porch.

I had my school bag slung across my shoulder, clothes, my life savings, and some leftovers.

'Dad, you just don't get it.' I muttered, head down staring at the mud.

'KAIRI!'

I gave him a quick wave, before disappearing around the hedges. I heard him yelling, wishing for dear life that he hurt. I hoped with my heart that he hurt the same way he did when mom left. Like mother like daughter, I suppose. You see, my father didn't approve of Riku, one of my best friends. But lately, Riku and I…have been more then that. Much to Sora's disappointment, and my dad's. However, as implied, I didn't give a stuff about my father. He could go screw it for all I cared. Which is why I hope he suffers. Suffers bad.

Something I probably should've told you is…I'm pregnant. Riku doesn't know, neither does Sora. Hell, I barely knew myself until Namine insisted I had a test done. I didn't see the big problem, until the results ticked in. Positive. The moment I died.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind. The big problem is…it's not Riku's.

It's Sora's.

I don't know how it happened. I suppose we just, hit it off one night. Accidentally, but I couldn't bring myself to end a life, a child's life. My child's life.

I was planning on telling my dad…well never, really. The health he's been in recently isn't something to be putting at risk. But…a couple of days ago. He told me what really happened with my mother. For years I was told she died in a terrible car accident. Up on the ridge. It was a rainy night, the roads were slippery, and there had been road construction on the new barrier. But it wasn't finished yet.

The car went flying into the ocean, and when they fished it up, it was empty.

No body, nothing.

My father told me the truth though, she didn't die. She ran away. Well…walked out. On both of us, at first I resented her for that. Then, I realised why she had run.
