Perhaps Penelope had looked about as shocked as Percy currently did when the doctor told her. It really wasn't that incredible, was it? "Percy? Perce? Did you hear me? I told you that I'm pregnant." Penelope stressed her words and Percy seemed to have finally understood. He sunk down onto the bed next to her and covered his eyes with clammy hands. Penny leaned into the pillows a bit more and tucked and un-tucked her blanket around herself. The silence was a bit overwhelming and Penelope broke it by slipping quietly from the bed and out the door to the kitchen.

Penny's feet pacing around the kitchen was soon joined with pans clanging together and the stove clicking to catch flame. Percy rubbed his biceps to get the chill from his naked upper half and then proceeded to retrieve the black muscle shirt. I just don't understand why she didn't tell me straight out; it's not like there's anything to be ashamed of, really. Everyone close to me new we were sleeping together, and she's almost always completely forward. Why would this be a big deal? I mean, hell, it's a big deal and all, but still! Did she not want me to impregnate her? Well, I asked if we should use protection and she disagreed considering we were soon to be married. Did I even make her pregnant?! Oh, bloody ing hell! What if she slept with some other bloke after we fought yesterday! Now I get it! Percy thought this to himself and immediately regretted it. Penny was all about commitment. Not to mention the fact that Percy could tell by her words and actions that she loved him and always would.

Penny slumped in her chair and fiddled with the dry tea bag. She couldn't help but wonder how Percy was taking this. Penelope knew that she could handle being a mother. She was more than mature; she was motherly. Percy wasn't used to surprises, on the other hand, and was very likely taking his time to think through how this could affect their lives. A shrill whistle cut through the chilly little farmhouse that Pen and Percy shared and Penelope stood. The floor was cold as she hurried to the stove to tend to the squat, metal tea kettle. She turned off the flame and opened the kettle's top to place her tea bag inside when suddenly a pair of warm, muscular arms encircled her.

Percy felt Penelope jump a bit and was surprised, himself, to hear her let out a tiny shriek.

"You bloody, ing kettle! Ouch, ouch, owie!" Penny exclaimed while turning to the sink for some cold water. "Damnation, Percy! How did you walk so quietly?!" Penny asked, running her burnt finger under the tap wearily. Percy blushed and shuffled his feet in his most innocent manner and Penny felt her knees buckling.

Percy was intensely sorry but was too scared of saying the wrong thing and didn't say anything, instead. Suddenly, Penny's slender, and soft arms came around his waist and Percy sighed, pulling her even closer to him and hugging back. "We need to talk," Percy mumbled into Penny's silky hair.

Penny tapped the side of her tea cup and sighed again, probably the hundredth time in the past half hour of just sitting. Of course, the first part of that half hour had been talking, as Perce suggested, but after a while they both just needed time to sit and think. Penny was still reveling in Percy's absolute acceptance and support of the whole situation and it was times like then that Penelope realized just how lucky she was to be living her life.

An hour later Percy rolled over to face Penny and they both had stricken faces as they stared at one another. Simultaneously, they both asked themselves, "How are we going to tell our parents?!"

A/N: Grin Hope you liked it… I really doubt that there'll be anything after this, but, heh, that's what I said about the first story, right?! P Review, please!
