Hey guys :) this is just a SHORT one shot that I decided to do after watching 'a dream of flying' for like the billionth time. It's loosely based on it :) enjoyyyyy :3 sorry if its horrible :/

He always promised her he would come back. He said he would come back for her and they would travel the world together.
"I promise Ep! One day, I'm gonna take you everywhere! Just you wait, we'll go everywhere you could ever imagine; Fiji, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina. I'll take you wherever you want. We'll fly amongst the stars!"
She was lost in their childish dream and she spent everyday by the window, waiting for him. It seemed stupid and pointless, he wasn't coming back anytime soon. All she had left was a shattered memory and hope. Yet she waited, everyday she would muster up all hope that he would knock on her door and she would open it to find the man she once loved.
She stared out of the window, a little ray of hope shone inside of her. The clock struck 2 and she dropped her hands to her sides. He won't come. He'll never come.
"But what if you don't come back for me?" She pouted. He flashed her a smile,
"I'll come back for you, Eponine! I cross my heart, hope to die-"
"Stick a needle in my eye" they both finished.
"I'll come back and we'll go flying together, in a huge hot air balloon with the colours of the rainbow! I will show you the sea and you will draw and sketch and we'll make a whole adventure book!"
She smiled slightly at the fond memories. 15 years have passed since then, she was a grown woman of 25, she had a job and a home. She had the life any young girl would so hope to achieve, the only thing missing was him.
She heard a tapping at her window,
"ENJ! It's midnight! What in gods name do you think your doing?!"
"So what? I don't care what time it is! I have a surprise!"
"What kind of surprise could you possible have at this hour?"
He flashed her that smile again.
"As I said it's a surprise, I just have one question Ep, will you come fly with me?"
She got changed and lay in bed. She checked her clock before falling into a deep sleep.
An hour or so later, she woke to a tap. She sat up and rubbed her eyes before raking a hand through her hair. The tapping came again. It was familiar and set of a spark inside of her. No.
She rapped her robe around her and sprinted to the balcony. She pushed open the doors and was greeted by a magnificent sight.
A giant hot air balloon, the colours of the rainbow decorating it. There was someone standing there too. She edged closer to get a look. It was him.
His golden honey hair was still styled into a small quiff, his eyes still shone like two lone sapphires in the night sky and that million watts smile still captured her heart. He extended a hand, almost beckoning her towards him,
"Ep, will you come fly with me?"
She didn't hesitate and stepped forward towards him. She left everything behind, her house, her job, her shattered dreams.
And he kept his promise and they flew amongst the stars.
