A/N: Written for Rachel. Hope you enjoy this.
As the sun went down over Inkopolis, the plaza soon began to clear of Inklings. It had been a long, enjoyable day of battles and splatting, but now it was time for everyone to return home and get some rest. The shopkeepers had also closed up for the day, and Annie was the only one still left.
"COME ON GIRL, LET'S GET GOIN' ALREADY. DINNER AIN'T GONNA COOK ITSELF." Moe yelled from his place nestled between her tentacles.
"I know, we'll leave in a moment..." Annie timidly replied as she gathered her things and walked outside. As she locked up, she took a look around the plaza, which was now entirely devoid of people. "It's so empty here now, way different than during the day."
"YEAH YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS EMPTY? MY STOMACH. NOW HURRY IT UP-"
Moe stopped speaking when he noticed a light coming from a nearby alleyway.
"'EY, WHAT'S THAT?" he asked, seeming to forget about his hunger for the moment.
Annie glanced over at the light, clearly confused as well. Was somebody back there? It seemed like a dangerous and scary place, especially at night. What kind of person could be back there?
"Um... I don't know." she answered. "Maybe a ghost.. Or Octarians..."
"GIRLL, DON'T YOU EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT. I AIN'T DEALIN' WIT' NO OCTARIANS, YO."
"Hm..." Annie went silent for a moment, seeming to go into thought. "We'll never know what it is unless we go back there and look."
Before Moe could protest, Annie was already walking in that direction. Moments later, they reached their destination, and discovered a sea urchin just chilling there.
AW HELL, HE'S HOT. thought Moe.
"S'appenin', mate?" the urchin greeted casually. "Who're you? Not a cop, right?"
"No, I'm Annie.. I work at Cooler Heads-"
"HEY I'M MOE." Moe interrupted loudly. "WHAT'S YOUR NAME, HOT STUFF?"
"Spyke." The urchin replied, slowly looking up from Annie to Moe, locking eyes with the small fish. If he had a heart, it would be going doki doki right now.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Spy-!" Annie began to say as she took a step forward to shake his hand or bump fists or whatever these hip and fresh sea creatures do as a greeting. Unfortunately for her though, she tripped over one of his druggie needles and fell onto the ground. Not very fresh of her.
Annie's pathetic fall ended up causing Moe to get launched out of her tentacles and onto Spyke. And, as if by fate, their lips ended up meeting in a pure and magical kiss of kawaii and gay.
When they finally broke away, Spyke softly asked, "Want to do some drugs?"
"OH THERE'S ALL KINDS OF THINGS I'D LIKE TO DO WIT' YOU, BABE." Moe responded.
And so, for the rest of the night, the two did lots of drugs and other activities. Annie didn't know whether she should just leave without Moe or not, so she just sat over to the side the whole time and waited for them to finish. It was horrible. The end.
