Kenshin was walking down a Tokyo street. Then suddenly, a girl with a bokutou stop him with the yell, "Matte, Hitokiri Battousai!" Kenshin turned around and wondered if this girl really knew what he was.

They showed the light,

Udou Jin-eh now holds Kaoru hostage and Kenshin is fighting to get her back. The mad man that made Kenshin angry is choking Kaoru. Angry that he dared to touch her, angry that he's choking her. When Kenshin is going to kill Jin-eh, Kaoru is yelling to stop it. Her voice brought him back.

It was summer time and there were fireflies near the river. We could see Kenshin and Kaoru embracing each other. Kaoru was crying, holding Kenshin tight. Kenshin a little sad, but that's only because he could hide his feelings well. He really wanted to tell her how he really feels, but something inside him told him that he'd only put her in danger. He left Kaoru in the street, crying her eyes out. A tear ran down his cheek, but he quickly wiped it away as the darkness swallowed him.
It's a crazy world

Kaoru, Yahiko and Misao are going down a forest path towards a mountain home. At the end of the path, there was a little cottage. The speaker inside said something and Yahiko and Misao broke the door. The people inside were Kenshin and a man in a white mantle. Kenshin looked very surprised, especially when he saw Kaoru. After that meeting, he told her that he was really glad to see her. In the inside, he was very excited.

It was afternoon and the Kenshin-gumi were walking to the dojo from the train station. Kaoru summoned her courage and turned to Kenshin. She held out her hand and said, "Okaeri," (welcome home). Kenshin looked very surprised, but smiled and took her hand and said, "Tadaima," (I'm home).

A few weeks later, Kenshin had his arm around Kaoru and confessed to her that he hadn't said 'Tadaima' for years. Kaoru leaned on him and sighed happily….
