"I don't think she should be around so much," Meg said. She was pacing in a circle just at the base of the trailer's steps. "I think we should subtly but firmly persuade her to go home to Osaka."

Sei stood at the base of the steps, arms folded but watching placidly. "Oh, you do, do you?"

Meg stopped in her tracks and glared at the Chinese mob princess. "Yes, I do! And for good reason. Takane's supposed to be a full time cop in Osaka, right? What's she doing here so often? Her town needs her."

Sei chuckled.

"What?" Meg snapped.

"I think we all know what's going on here," Sei said calmly. "You're just jealous because Jo like Takane. But jealousy is really about your own insecurities. If you truly felt secure in your relationship, you wouldn't be bothered if Jo makes new friends. This is an issue you'll have to work out."

Meg folded her arms and looked away. "Hmmph."

"I'm more worried about Kyohei. He usually calls if he's going to be late."

"Jealous, Sei?"

"Hardly. We've all come to rely on him, as you know. I'll wait a few more minutes-wait, is that him?"

Meg followed Sei's gaze across the shopping mall's parking lot. "No, that's a motor bike."

"But who's driving it?"

As the bike pulled up, they saw Kyohei was driving it with Takane riding on back, her arms around Kyo's waist.

"It's my fault we're late," she said as she and Kyo got off the bike. "I insisted Kyo let me take his scooter around the block for a spin, and that put him behind. So I let him drive my bike."

"Wait a minute-" Sei stammered. "How do you two know each other?"

Kyo smiled. "Through a biker's bulletin board."

Meg's eyes widened. "I didn't think you were the biker type, Kyo."

"I am, Meg. I love bikes and bike racing almost as much as I love cooking. But my bike wasn't practical in town, and many restaurants have a conservative image, so I sold my bike to by my scoo-my first scooter. But I miss really riding."

"And I miss cooking," Takane said. "I love to cook - always have - but I can't find the time. So as penance for making Tokyo's cutest chef late, I am going to help in the kitchen."

Kyohei laughed and blushed. "Takane!"

"What? You're cute! And got a nice little tush while I'm on the subject. You think I'm not going to say so?" She turned to Sei. "Damn, Sei! Where do you find these guys? First Leo, now this little stud muffin? I'm beginning to like it here." She followed Kyohei up the steps. "Dayum, I might even move to Tokyo with all these hot guys around."

Kyo and Takane enetered the trailer and closed the door behind them.

Sei and Meg stood at the bottom of the steps, looking at the door. Though Sei's overall expression was impassive, her right eyelid had a slight twitch in it.

Meg cleared her throat. "You were saying?"

"On second thought, Meg, maybe Osaka's police department could use her back as soon as-"

The trailer door slid open and Amy stuck her head out. "Hey, Sei! Kyo wants to know if he can go to Osaka next weekend."

"Um, tell him we'll talk, Amy."

"Will do."

The door slid shut.

"Y'know, Sei, it would be a shame if Takane disappeared before she could go home."

"Unfortunately, Meg, I'm not on good terms with the committee governing Bailan in my grandfather's absence, so Takane will probably not have a misadventure while she's here."

"Damn. Don't you hate when that happens?"
