So I was bored and thought this would make for an interesting story. Please review and let me know what you think!

Chapter 1

"Shut up! Really?" Carrie asked as her cousin Lois talked about her adventures in Smallville.

"Yeah, I mean, there was this beast who killed people, meteor rocks that give people powers, and cute guys!" Lois replied, almost saying "kryptonite" instead of meteor rocks. She promised she wouldn't tell anyone Clark's secret, not even her cousin.

"So, I heard you met a cute guy named Sebastian?" the name reminded Lois of the memory thief she'd so easily fallen for years ago.

"Yes, I mean we're sorta dating but the other popular girls are all over him, especially her, that's Donna," Carrie said nodding in the direction of a girl with perfectly straight jet black hair.

"I'll kicker her ass for us cuz, she won't be trouble anymore and you can have him all to yourself," Lois told her younger cousin, already loathing this bitchy girl who messed with Carrie's boyfriend.

"I'm going to go inside before the lunch bell rings. Meet you after school?"

"Yep! I'll pick you up then we can go out for dinner."

After Carrie went back inside that awful school building, Lois left.

She planned on taking Carrie to a restaurant in NYC because she loved going there, but for now she'd hang out at her cousin's house, watch a movie, and call Chloe.

As two o'clock approached, Lois hung up from her hour-long conversation with Chloe, she grabbed her keys, making her way once more to Carrie's school.

"How was your day?" Lois asked as Carrie slid into the passenger seat, throwing her backpack in the backseat.

"Fine. I don't want to talk about it."

Lois enjoyed being with Carrie but sometimes she wished Bridget was here instead because Carrie got on her nerves.

"Alright, I won't. I called Chloe today, she said she wished she could be here with me but with her baby on the way, there was no possible way she could make it. I have something special planed for dinner," Lois told her, hoping this would brighten her spirits.

"Really? What is it?" Carrie asked, clearly excited.

"Oh, you'll have to find out. Here, put this on," Lois handed her a blindfold.

"But-"

"If you don't wear it, we won't go," Lois warned, letting out a little laugh.

"Okay, I'm ready!"

Lois turned on the ignition and turned up the music.

It took them and hour and a half to get there, more than Lois was expecting. But that's what happens on a Friday night going into Ney York City.

"Time to take off the blindfold," Lois told Carrie after she'd found a parking spot in a garage near the restaurant.

She took it off and smelled the air. "I knew it! We're in the city!"

Lois got out, grabbed her purse, and locked the doors.

"Thanks so much big cuz," Carrie said, surprising her with a hug.

As they crossed the busy street, Lois looked up long enough to see a blur of red and blue pass over the skyscrapers.

She smiled.
