Ginny sat in the Common Room. Pretending to read it while actually she was deep in thought. It was one week after the Battle of Hogwarts and Ginny was feeling horrible. Between the death of her brother Fred and George's depression, it was a miracle she was able to sleep. But through it all the Carrows and the Battle. She had survived for she just kept her eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel. If she survived and Harry survived. He had promise to come back to her. The moment when she thought he was dead had been pure torture, Ginny was a strong person. She had survived numerous torture spells including two of the unforgivable. But in that moment when Harry had been killed she had cried uncontrollably. But now a week after the battle, Harry bloody Potter still hadn't talk to her once! Well enough was enough she was going to go find that git!

"Hey Hermione do you know where Harry is?" Ginny asked the older witch who was sitting on a couch reading Hogwarts: A History for the billionth time

" On the grounds." Said Hermione shortly not looking up.

Ginny got up and walked out of the Common Room, through the battered Castle, and onto the grounds of Hogwarts. She walked around looking for Harry until she noticed a small crowd gathered by the edge of the forest. She raced over and noticed that among the crowd was the usually stoic professor McGonagall crying." Wait Minnie never cries, it must be one of her favorite students...Harry!" Ginny thought desperately pushing her way to the front.

There in front of her was her love, Harry James Potter. She collapsed suddenly and rested her head on his cold chest. " Harry please come back you promised. Please God if you bring him back, I'll never ask for anything else. Harry you can't do this please wake up."

Harry remained still. Ginny broke down and wept covering his shirt in her tears. Her whole world collapsing around her. Her vision blurred and she felt her own vision go dark.

When Ginny awoke she was in the Hospital Wing surrounded by family and friends but one was missing Harry! " Where is Harry?" She asked desperately wanting to believe she had dreamt Harry's death.

After an eternity Professor McGonagall spoke.'' He's dead Ginny, he was killed by a surviving death eater, but you should know we found this on his body.

McGonagall pulled out a small box and opened it and pulled out a ring. Ginny gasped and grabbed it. It was beautiful. With a diamond surrounded by two tiny rubies and two tiny emerald stones, on the back it was engraved with the words:

Ginny I love you. Marry Me?

Love Harry.

That did Ginny broke down again, into deep racking sobs. She was never the same after that. And though she had several nephews and nieces who she loved dearly. She never loved, never dated again. But she kept the ring for all her life. And when she died it was buried with her.

Ginny Weasley loved her Harry Potter and would love him and wait for him forever and the two lovers were united once again in Heaven. And no one could take that away.
