heres a bit of angst.
Cora looked at the city below her, the sun setting over, giving away the lights flashing preparing for the dark. Normally she would head inside the house and invent with Hiro, her friend and crush, but thoughts had appeared.
Thoughst she was afraid of deeply.
she heard footsteps behind her before it revealed himself to be Hiro.
"Hey Cora, I thought you would head inside since...you know.."
Cora nodded.
Cora had a severe fear of the dark, after a traumatic experience when a group of older girls locked her in the closet and left her. But now the thoughts had numb her fear, because it was much more frightening...
"Hiro? Can I ask you a question?"
Hiro, previously dazed, looked up and saw Cora.
"I guess...what is it?"
Cora wouldn't speak for the first few minutes, so afraid of the consequences that if fate made them real as a cruel joke.
"Hir...what would you do if I was kidnapped?"
Hiro looked at her with wide eyes, a bit surprised over the question. After that moment of silence he responded.
"Well, your my friend and I would look for you, no matter how hard it is."
"...even if I was gone for more than a year?"
more silence penetrated them.
"yes...I bet you would had done the same thing if I were kidnapped too.." Shrugged Hiro.
Cora then felt tears slip down her eyes, causing Hiro to notice her.
"Cora hey, it's alright, whatever happens, if those scenarios do happen we'll looke and won't stop till we found each other-"
"But what if we gave up?"
Hiro paused, seeing a sad and fear look on her face, which then she continued.
"what if we can't find each other? What if we are never found? What if I think you were dead?! I can't bear that thought! I don't want to think of you dead or gone forever if your kidnapped! But I'm scare that I'll give up, but I know I can't cause I love you too much to give up!"
cora then stopped talking. Realizing what she just confessed. She faced away from Hiro, fearing he'll vocal her crazy or scorn her affections.
instead she was hugged, she felt his warm arms around her and her sniffling ceased.
"Cora...I know I'm not exactly an experienced talker, but my brother said that he'll never give up on me, that I have to continue and look for a new angle to reach that goal. Cora...I like you too...and I swear, if that ever happens, I'll never stop looking for you, and I'll never stop finding my way back home, to the gang, to Aunt Cass, to Baymax...to you."
cora felt her face turn red as tears ceased, leaving only tear stains in her face.
"Hiro..please promise we'll do whatever it takes to find each other again."
Hiro nodded, then surprised her. He kissed he, letting his love and care into that Kiss, which Cora wholeheartedly accepted and returned.
"I promise, I will never give up on you."
