Disclaimer: Percy Jackson does not belong to me! Sad face! Ha!
This idea was just begging to be written so I hope y'all enjoy.
Annabeth had never been in so much physical pain before. Not once. The weight of the sky was actually crushing her to the point where she struggled to breathe. A daughter of Athena always, always had a plan and Annabeth prided herself in that fact but now... she didn't and if she wasn't in so much pain then she would be ashamed.
If she were to be honest with herself, the betrayal almost hurt as much as the sky. Luke was who she had always looked up to, the one that always made her blush, the one that she viewed as her saviour – and he was the one that trapped her here. She thought she meant more to him than just some pawn for Kronos. Apparently not.
Yet, she thought with a sad smile, she didn't regret anything – she had saved her friends and that was what mattered. Thalia was fine as far as she felt because she knew that Percy, good Percy, wouldn't let anything happen to her. They may have their disagreements regularly but that didn't change the fact they cared for each other.
Annabeth gasped loudly as the weight got even heavier if that was possible, making the muscles in her shoulders scream in protest. She felt like she was on fire, burning slowly, left to roast.
"Percy" She heard herself murmur desperately. Percy was always there for her, unlike Luke he didn't betray her and like Thalia he was never torn away from her – he was like her lifeline. He was her best friend and, she thought with a blush despite the situation, he was mega cute. His sea green eyes, windblown black hair and perfect goofy smile were what was helping her hold on and not give up. She would live through this because she knew that was what Percy would want. He would want her to be strong.
She could almost hear him whisper urgently, "Come on wise girl, you can do this – don't show them your weaknesses show them your strength" Even though she knew he wasn't there it did give her strength – it made her want to fight.
"I will Percy" She said croakily, eyes glinting with determination as she shifted under the weight to make herself more comfortable. She took a deep breath and blinked away the tears. Luke wasn't going to break her; that she was sure of.
How long was she here for? Minutes? Hours? Days? Annabeth didn't know but she just prayed it would be over soon and deep inside, she knew it would be because Percy would save her – he always did though she didn't like to admit it to herself.
Percy.
Percy.
Percy.
That was all she could think about – her lifeline to help her focus. Because... he was Percy and despite what Annabeth told herself, he meant the world to her.
So... I'm not sure about this but your thoughts would be great if you could spare a few seconds! xx
