"Shanks! When are we getting to the island?!" I asked looking at the old red-head drinking his bottle of sake. He hummed and stared down at me.
"We'll be there soon, kid" he replied rubbing my head. At the same moment one of his crew members yelled from the crow's nest that land was in view. I smiled in delight and ran to the railing to see that indeed an island was in view. I do like sailing with Shanks and his crew, but I'm really missing the land. A few minutes later we docked and I ran off the ship.
"Hey (Y/N)! Lets go get something to eat" Shanks announced and I ran over to him, grabbing his hand. Everyone would think I'm his adorable eight year old daughter, but in reality I'm just the girl he saved. My parents were pirates and brutally murdered by the marines. Their pirate crew disbanded since my dad was the captain. Luckily the red-haired pirates were visiting around that time and found me trembling with my dull (e/c) eyes staring and my (h/c) hair tangled with pieces of mud. He didn't hesitate to take me in and I've been traveling with him for six months. We entered a bar and saw a lady with green hair tied into a low ponytail. She wore a light blue shirt tucked into her white skirt.
"Hey Makino!" Shanks said giving her a smile. He would wave, but his right hand was holding my hand and his left hand was gone from saving a kid from a sea monster. Another reason I wanted to come was to meet the boy Shanks saved.
"Who's this cutie?" The lady asked bending down to my level. I held onto Shank's hand and he bursted out laughing.
"This is (Y/N)" He said letting go of my hand, pushing my body closer to the lady. She grabbed my hand and gave it a light shook.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Makino" She said and I gave her a shy smile.
"N-Nice to meet you too" I said back and then heard doors being slammed behind us.
"Shanks!" A young male voice yelled and I turned around. There was a boy with messy black hair and black eyes while also wearing a straw hat.
"Luffy! How's it going?" Shanks asked rubbing the straw hat on the kids head.
"Good! I thought you said you'll be on a important mission and couldn't come visit me anymore" The boy named Luffy stated and I felt Shank place his hand behind my back.
"Well you see...I was thinking of leaving little (Y/N) here with you Luffy!" He said and I blinked a couple of times.
"What?!"
