Asami cringed thinking about Mako.
His perfect hair, amber eyes, buff silhouette. Why did he have to be so god damn perfect? And of course, Korra just HAD to let him know about how much she loved him.
"Bitch..." she murmured under breath. Everything was sailing smoothly! Mako was mesmerized, and he was in love, but Korra decided to confess to Mako that she secretly adored him- and when the time was right Mako decided he felt the same way.
Then, General Iroh came, and they stopped the equalist revolution. What's this you ask? Does Asami have feeling for Iroh? Well, she told me to stay quiet, but I can't do it.
General Iroh was a tall, muscular man that firebended like a god and probably had the abs of one too. His bold eyebrows, maroon- tight fitting uniform that flattered him well, and his scruffy yet drop dead gorgeous locks. Not to mention his abilities for being a leader, a man who takes charge... she liked the sound of that. Iroh isn't afraid of anything and he's honest too. Nothing better to Asami than honesty and bravery.
Unfortunately, Asami couldn't tell Iroh, she was just too afraid of rejection! I mean, who wouldn't be though? Imagine your crush. Now imagine you're asking him out. Okay, now imagine, that he or she tells you "No, you're ugly, and stupid, and a total (son of a) bitch." Now imagine something ten times worse... a slap in the face, a kick in the chest. Anything brutally hurtful will do. That's how Asami would feel. Asking the love of your life to be yours- and just giving him your everything. He takes it, and throws it down to the concrete floors and smashes it to dust. He leaves he standing there and tells everyone about how pathetic he thinks you are. Nobody likes you anymore; They think that you're a loser. But maybe that's the case! Maybe you deserve this for not standing up for yourself and putting everything on the line. Maybe you are a pathetic loser, just like he said! Maybe you should kill yourself, it's not worth living anymore.
Asami couldn't do it for those reasons. She would just become too self conscious and depressed.
