EMPTY
A/N: Needed to get the angst outside of my body so it's basically all here. Big thanks to my fave little online cous for beta reading and making me feel better about this! Hope you enjoy.
Amelia felt like crying but tears were nowhere to be seen. Maybe she had already spent them all. The room was dark, matching her mind. Leaning against the cold wall, a bottle of scotch on her left side and an empty blister of pills on her right, she saw blood. She didn't know where it came from but she was the only one there so it had to be hers.
She held up her hands and saw a big cut on her right palm. Confused she looked around trying to figure out how she had gotten hurt. A few feet away was a broken glass and she remembered. She had dropped it and had cut herself trying to pick it up. Maybe accidentally, maybe not. She thought she should probably clean it but didn't.
Blood kept coming out of the wound mixing with the dried blood in her hand and arm. It had probably begun bleeding a while ago. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the cut. Seeing the blood coming out of her felt good. Like sucking the venom out of a snake bite. She couldn't focus her sight so she finally put her hand back down and took another sip out of the bottle and then it was empty.
Just like she felt. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Maybe she could feel happy there. Maybe she wouldn't wake up. Maybe no one would find her until her corpse started to rot and her neighbors would complain about the smell. Maybe someone would save her from herself. The light from the morning was softly caressing her face as she started dreaming.
It wasn't as bad there. But then she heard a knock on the door and a woman's voice came from the outside of the apartment. "Amelia..! Are you in there? Please open up! I'm worried about you, Amy! Please let me in!" Another knock. "Amelia... It's Addie. I'm your sister. Please let me in." Addison would save her. "Amelia, if you're in there let me in!"
She would have opened up the door if she could move. "I'm using my key." The door opened slowly as her eyes closed again. She would be saved. "Oh god. Amelia..!" She felt clicking heels against the wooden floor and warm hands against her cheeks. "Amelia, talk to me!" And a small smile crept through her lips as her husky voice chocked out. "Addie...you came." A tight hug filled the void inside of her as her eyes closed again.
A/N2: Hope you liked! Look forward to hearing what you think!
