Sonnet
I am Justice
Done in the persona of L Lawliet
There isn't a day that I don't wonder why
What sane mind would commit such crimes–
To sentence sinners, and innocence alike, to die?
As I gaze wearily into the cold night sky.
I do not like those who think they are God,
But how can I stop their god-like game?
The truth is there, but shrouded in fog,
Like a sheet over an evil specter who extinguishes life with face and name.
I am sorry my friend, but I cannot be ceased,
Because the world can never be purely white,
And heirs to my name will arise long after I am deceased.
Shadows loom everywhere, especially in the Light.
So, I am justice; and justice, without fail,
My good friend, will always prevail.
