Read this, and then the AN at the end, please do. (I'm not asking for Reviews)
Have you ever been at a point where you feel weird?
Playing Pokémon anyways. I mean, when I was little I loved Pokémon, still do, but now it just seems that you only find a fan every blue moon, and either they're way older, or way younger, either into Red and Blue still, or Black and White 2. And neither sound very interesting when you grew up with Gen III.
I mean, I have Ruby and Sapphire (hopefully I'll find Emerald), and my brother has LeafGreen, plus that one game for the Game Cube, where you start with Espeon and Umbreon?
It's just so hard, you know, to find the right kind of fan, okay, forget what I said before, let's look at it this way.
There are the original fans (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal), of Gen I and II, then the fans that had always had known about Pokémon, the Gen III ones (The SoulSilver and HeartGold fans may, or may not, be put here, depending on the fan).
Next is the newer group of fans, Gen IV, they know the Pokémon from Sinnoh (And Johto, along with Kanto if they played SS and HG) and, knowingly or not, some from the other regions too, just not all of them.
And they, along with the newest fans, the BW ones, would have most likely played Black and White, the Gen-that-must-not-be-named, and the newest Gen, Gen VI, will bring another group of fans, but I'll ignore them, for now.
Anyways, so we have the Originals (First group), the Life Longs (Second group), the Wait-Who's-Missingno.?-Fans (Third group, I mean, do you really expect most of them to know Missingno.?), and the Number fans (The fourth group, in reference to Black and White 2).
While the latter two groups are full of younger people (As in little kids), some older fans are there too, just they only got into it at that stage, which means, if they did their homework, could move the to group two, while in the Numbers group, next to none of them would even know Mew (Unless, like before, they did their work).
Next the Life Long group, they've know about Pokémon most, if not all, of their life (Unless they were bumped up from a different group), so it's a fair guess that they would know most Pokémon from Kanto and Hoenn, maybe not Sinnoh and Johto, but still have a fair amount of Poké-Knowledge. Though, they most likely know next to nothing about the Original group's game's, you know, aside from the obvious and what they learn from LeafGreen and FireRed.
Now then, we also have the Originals. It'd be hard to be part of them unless you've known Pokémon for a long time, and you, somehow, found a Pokémon Green/Blue/Red/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, and did a bunch of searching to find stuff about Gen I and II. I would say more about them, but, sadly, I'm part of the Life Long group.
Now, back to earlier, it's hard for a Life Long fan to find another Life Long, unless lucky, so they'd have to settle for something else, though they probably wouldn't want a one-time-Original (Some left a time ago, while most of the rest play the other games too), a Number or WWM.? Would be worse since they wouldn't get Gen III much, though they would most likely play one of Gen III's games if you gave it to them.
The Numbers and WWM.? groups get along fine, most of the time, same for the LL's and most of the fans, unless they said something about Blaziken being 'stupid' (Which I've seen before), or Wally being ugly (He's just. So. CUTE!).
And the O's would be fine most anywhere, though they would most likely want to be with other O's, so simply, the O's get along with everyone, the LL's like each other the most, the WWM.? like Numbers, and they don't really care, though when the next group of fans come…
Which now leads me to here. All of you have heard about Gen Six by now, right? That will bring a brand new group into play. For now I'll call them the Three-Ds.
My guess for the 3Ds would be that they would get along fine with the LL's (Since there will most likely be a remake of Gen III after X&Y), and wouldn't really care for the WWM.?, while being open to the Numbers, and I think they'd look up to the O's, since it would be next to impossible, depending on the fan, for them to become one.
So the way things are, is that the Originals are at the top, then the Life Longs (And maybe the 3Ds), and them the Numbers and WWM.? (Maybe the 3Ds if they aren't with the LLs).
So, to the O's, you've done good, and I hope that you keep playing the games, and show your kids the games too (Maybe one day give them your old Pokémon Red game you have in your closet in your room?).
And too my fellow LL's, don't worry my friends, our long-awaited remake will be coming shortly! Now to make sure that Leaf has a cameo in it (To explain where she is in Silver/Gold/SoulSilver/HeartGold!)
To the WWM.?, PLAY GEN III FOR RAICHU'S SAKE! Or at least, if you haven't, play SS and HG, my sister has it, it's a good game (And for you girls, I heard that a silent cutie, Red, was on Mount. Silver…)
For you Numbers out there, don't forget about Pikachu and Magikarp, Snivy isn't the first Pokémon in the Pokédex! (That's Bulbasaur)
And, if the 3Ds turn out like I hope (Though they probably won't), look for the cool fans (Like meee!) and hope that you don't run into a dud, new fans can turn away easy, but once a PokéFan, always a PokéFan.
A brown-haired, blue-eyed, girl wearing a hat, which looked much like a premier (Sp.?) ball, was sitting at her computer, typing something.
"Once a PokéFan, always a PokéFan." She, the girl, now recognized as Leaf (Or the unused beta girl from Gen I), muttered, as she looked over her work.
She blinked as she finished. "Wow." She said, wiping the sleep from her eye, yawning. "That's gotta be the most sense making thing I've written at two-thirty. Ahh!" She yawned, looking at the clock that now read '2:58 AM'. She then turned her head as if sensing a disturbance.
"What?" She asked no one (Aside from the readers, but she doesn't know about us… Right?), tilting her head. "I'm just going off of stereotypes, nothing serious. Relax, it might not make too much sense, but I think it's good for April Fools." She explains, shrugging, before turning back and saving her writing.
And that, my dear fans, it what you get when you combine my sugar rushes and lack of sleep. This is mostly based off of stereotypes, like Leaf said, so if someone gets angry, it's a joke, if someone thinks all of this a correct, then I got lucky. To the best of my knowing, the way fans work could be very different, so don't bother telling me that. Just assume I know nothing.
