Archie Goodwin is good with the ladies, enough evidence has been seen that no one can deny it. But what people don't seem to realize, or don't wish to, is that Archie Goodwin is also good with the guys.
Inspector Cramer, through no fault of his own, he tells himself, has found out exactly how good on multiple occasions.
And later, when Goodwin is grinning through his sleep and worming his way further into the warmth of Cramer's body, Cramer dosen't wonder why he lets Archie Goodwin come back. But tonight, when Nero Wolfe and the Homicide Squad aren't at odds, Cramer thinks that he'll take tomorrow morning off and sleep. Sleep here with Wolfe's assistant under his arm.
He wonders if Goodwin understood just how good he was.
