"Zap yourself back into reality!" he screamed at her. "This is it! This is the END!" He yelled, resting his head on his knees. She sat and looked at him from the other side of the cell they were in."...B-But...we're the heroes...Th-this CAN'T be the end..." She said, holding back tears."There's no such thing as a 'hero'." He said, head still resting in his knees. "It's all just a story that parents tell their kids. Blatent lies." She looked at him, although he couldn't see her with his head buried in his knees. Tears poured from her eyes. "How can you say that?? What about S-" "He isn't real!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD! THIS IS REALITY!! THERE'S NO HAPPY FAIRY TALE ENDINGS IN THE REAL WORLD!" He screamed at her, his eyes meeting hers. He was crying too. She'd never seen him cry. She didn't even think it was possible."...This cant be it...there has to be more..." "LOOK AROUND!" He yelled. "But...they chose US for a reason, right? I mean, it had to be desti-" He cut her off. "There you go again!! This is REALITY!! R-E-A-L-I-T-Y!!!! Not one of your stupid made up video games!!" He wiped tears that were crawling down his face. There was a long pause, between them. "Destiny isn't real," He said at last, "No fate, no destiny, no 'it will get to him, I have faith!' Just cold, hard truth" He looked away from her again. The turth hit her heart hard. She cried the hardest she had ever cried.Much harder than she thought possible by any human. There was so much pain that had gathered in her heart the past couple of days...She was sure that it was shattered into a million pieces. All the pain and heartbreak she had bottled up gushed out of her eyes and down her face, eventually dripping off of her face and onto the cement floor creating a puddle that slowly extended outward. It hurt so bad. It hurt worse than physical pain, anyways. Her dreams, her hopes...all crushed. Just as she was sure she was going to pass out, she felt two arms wrap around her, encasing her in a warm embrace. Usually, if he hugged her like this, it would be awkward. But right now, it was the most comfortable thing she could think of. She hugged him back and cried into his chest. "Im sorry." he said softly, "I hurt you so much and...I'm sorry..." She was surprised to hear the words coming from his mouth. He never said those two words before. They repeated over and over again in her head until she looked into his water eyes. She could see just as much pain in his eyes as he could see in hers. This was the closest they had ever been before and, for once, they liked it. She felt like it took some of the weight off her already heavy heart and he felt like he belonged somewhere. But...as he had said before, this WAS the end. Adventures begin, and sometimes end quickly. Yes, this was the end for THEM. A light appeared on the wall behind them and out from it stepped a figure. "Sorry im la-whoa...i didn't interrupt something?" The second boy snickered. "YOU??!!" they said in unison.
