Okay, let's just say that Annabeth, Thalia, Nico, the strolls, Katie, Clarisse, Grover and the gods have been reading the Lightning thief. Annabeth is sad because this is during the time Percy was missing.

Annabeth POV

"Time for dinner!" Hera called out, letting her voice echo throughout the throne room. Everyone excitedly scuttled into a spacious hallway. Except for me. If I had been rather depressed before, I was now mentally insane. It was not fair, out of all books, that book was chosen. Not that it was bad. This Rick Riordan guy was good at writing, it was just that they made me so sad. As much as they made me feel like he was right there in there in the room with us, it also reminded me of why I missed him. So I stayed in my chair, trying unsuccessfully not to cry. A sudden growling sound brought me back to reality. At first I had been confused, wondering what sort of crazed monster could even get on to Olympus. Then I realized it was my stomach. I nearly scolded it for being so loud, since I didn't really want to be talking to someone right now. But after a few more ferocious growls, I gave in, humiliated I lost to an organ. Sighing, I wiped my tear stained eyes on my sleeve, and followed the trail everyone else took. After stopping for the trillionth time to admire the beautiful architecture, I realized my stupid stomach hadn't even growled once ( yep, I was still pretty mad ). Getting ready to turn around, Athena emerged from a door. "Hi, Annabeth! Just had to go to the bathroom. Are you lost? Here we are." My mom exclaimed, a little too cheery if you asked me. But everything was to cheery now. I reluctantly followed Athena to the dinning hall. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The walls were smothered in white marble, with some big columns here and there. The ceiling tapered into a elegant arch, which had portraits of every god and goddess that ever lived. A stack of golden kitchen utensils and plates sat in the corner on a slab of marble. I grabbed some then sat down next to Thalia, who was at the very end of a pretty big picnic table. She was also the only one who wasn't completely engrossed in a conversation. I glumly laid my head on the table as Thalia frowned. After a minute or two, her face lit up with an idea. She whisked my plate and cup in front of her and mumbled something to them I couldn't hear, though I smelled something good. I tentatively rose my head to reveal 2 blue waffles and turquoise soda. I know Thalia meant to help, but I just had to burst into tears, they reminded me of so much. Thalia patted my back gingerly, as others turned to see what all the commotion was all about. "I just want him back." I managed to choke out. "Who, me?" A voice said from the shadows. A figure stepped out, making me realize it was none other than Percy Jackson. A bunch of people shrieked, including me, but I was pretty sure mine was loudest of all.
