1.THE TRAITLESS SOUL.
Hello there! This is my first fanfic that doesn't consist out of one-shots, so if plot holes occur, I apologise. Of course the story won't be exactly the same as the original pacifist route. This whole idea about a traitless soul was intruduced by my (in real life) friend, HypnoArt (Wattpad). We role played this story through WhatsApp, but I did make some changes.I will write the characters as I see them, especially if there isn't a lot to go on (Gaster). My OC, Lumina, can be childish at the beginning, but she will develop.Constructive criticism and advice are welcome. That being said, let's start.

Lumina hummed a pleasant tune as she twirled around the magical garden. Her pearly white skin shone as the light emitting from the blue-green flowers around her reflected off the scales of her wings, causing a calming hue of purple, blue and green.
Lumina lived alone in this area of Waterfall, her parents passed into a hopefully better place long ago. She had no family, no siblings, aunts or uncles, nor any extended relatives.
No-one for company, except the little family of fairies that occasionally came to Waterfall for a quiet and relaxing weekend away. She would have a polite conversation with the parents and frolic around with their little children for a while, but couldn't stay for too long, not wanting to intrude on their vacation.
She quickly ducked under a low branch of the nearly empty tree which only grew in the underground, careful not to scrape her little black horns against the inky bark. The red leaves crunched under her bare feet as her emerald eyes glanced into the depths of the waterfalls and ponds in the area. The unique tree was the only of its kind in the whole Waterfall.
Her human-like figure weaved through the enchanting flowers and the captivating pools. Lumina bent down and swirled her hand through the cool water, staring into the pool's purple depths. Her face's reflection rippled, blurring her soft face, pink lips with two tiny fangs and her big, emerald eyes.
When the water eventually stilled, it wasn't her reflection staring back at her. There was a cracked black and white face gazing at her.
Lumina gasped as she saw the strange creature in the water. Suddenly, it flew out of the pool, causing her to yelp and fall backward.
"Apologies, my child. I did not mean to startle you, " it said.
She glared at the thing that frightened her. "Who are you?" Lumina asked, rubbing her sore shoulder.
"My name is Dr W.D. Gaster," it replied calmly.
A doctor? The name sounds familiar somehow...
Lumina studied the creature- Gaster.
Gaster stood tall, his body slim and nearly completely transparent. Goo floated around his form. He looked as if his body was breaking apart, but his most noticible feature was his head. His ghostly pale skull sat on top of his snowy body and arms made of black goo, the cracks in his skull making him seem as if he was crying, but his eerie smile made Lumina's skin crawl.
"Do you know why I'm here, child?" Gaster asked in a calm voice, his words echoing through the area.
Lumina got to her feet. "How am I supposed to know why you're here if you haven't said anything?" She crossed her arms, staring at the black voids that she assumed were his eyes.
"Dear child, why so impatient?" Gaster inquired, black goo dripping from his mouth as he turned and floated upwards, reaching for her with a bony hand.
She shuffled back a few centimetres. "I'm not impatient, just curious." Lumina's brows crinkled at the sight of the goo. She huffed at his words, deciding to be polite until she knew exactly what he wanted.
"Please tell me the reason for your visit," she requested.
Gaster carefully reached into his tattered, white lab coat and pulled out an item of great importance to him. He held out a white, floating entity for Lumina to see. It was a human soul.
"Long ago, when I was still alive, I found a infant on a bed of flowers," he began softly, staring at the soul.
"It amazed me how it was still breathing. I had only taken the poor thing under my wing, when King Asgore Dreemur heard of it," Gaster continued sadly. Lumina stared at the floating white entity, memorised by it's innocence and beauty.
"Back then I was the royal scientist," he said rather proudly. "The infant had just been found after Asgore had captured the sixth human."
Lumina gasped. "That meant that he only needed one more soul to open the barrier and break the seal that traps us here." Lumina thought longingly of how it would be to live up there.
A whole new world. Bigger, better, more creatures and plants. Other climates and adventures. More... Free.
"Indeed," Gaster replied grimly. "Wanting to be "merciful", he only extracted the soul. Unfortunately for him, the soul was traitless, too young to have developed a personality." He gave off a sad aura.
"What's the difference? By taking someone's soul, you might as well have killed them," Lumina stated.
Why would King Asgore do that to an innocent being? Yes, they wanted to escape from the underground, but if that was what they had to do get it, was it really worth it?
"You are right. A body without a soul would be...nothing. Just a empty shell, an obedient puppet. They would be alive, but not living."
"The human died, didn't they?" Lumina asked sadly, her opinion of their king changing drastically as the conversation went on.
Gaster nodded, gazing at the soul fondly. "When I died, I found the soul floating in the void with me." He looked down at his ghost form and his arms of goo. "I've returned, but I am a mere distant memory."
Lumina looked at Gaster. "You must really want to help this human, huh?"
"I do." He gazed at Lumina seriously. "A new human with a striped shirt has fallen into the underground."
"Woah, really? And are they good?" Lumina inquired. Human beings could be very dangerous creatures if they wished to be. Hopefully this one wasn't evil, dedicated to destroying the monster race.
"They seem so. Although, they possess a soul of determination. Who knows what they are capable of?" Lumina's eyes widened. This human must be powerful.
Gaster stared into the dark pools of water around them, deep in thought. "With a soul of determination, they have the power to reset the timeline, to reset the infant's soul and give it it's body back."
Lumina and Gaster locked eyes. The tension in the air was nearly suffocating. "Dear child, will you help me on my quest?"
Lumina gaped at the creature before her. Was he asking her to come with him? She hardly knew him or where they were going, how long they would be gone. Was she willing to risk so much for someone, an unfamiliar ghost and a unknown human soul?
She straightened her shoulders, gazing at the soul once more.
This human was killed unfairly. Am I really going to stand for that, do nothing to help them, avenge them?
"I hate what happened to the human." She looked at Gaster who was barely hovering above the ground before her. "I would like to do everything I can to help them."
His already large smile grew even wider. "Thank you, my child." He cradled the soul in his hands of bone, before placing it back cautiously in his lab coat.
"Lumina. It's Lumina," she grumbled. "So, what's the plan? What are we going to do?"
Gaster chuckled. "First, we need to locate the fallen human."
"And how do find this human with a soul of determination?" Lumina's multi-coloured scales emitted a soft glow. The combination of her black, forest green, navy blue and dark purple wings caused rainbows to dance across the areas. "What is their name?"
"Frisk, " he answered, straightening his posture. "There are rumours that they are already out of the ruins, passing through the underground."
"And when we find the human, Frisk, we can persuade them to reset the time line and restore the infant's soul," I finished, determined to complete the task set out before me.
"Don't be to sure about that!" A voice called out.
