Atalanta and the Golden Apple
Summary: The story picks up from Eclipse, yet it will become alternate universe. A mysterious person arrives in Fork from Jasper's past seeking revenge against his crimes. And with the arrival of Atalanta, Bella begins to find out more about why she really cannot be infiltrated by vampire powers and her relation with Atalanta. Can she understand her role before its too late? Can Bella use her own powers to prevent Atalanta from eliminating the entire Cullen family?
Author's Note: The title of the story is based on mythology. The Golden Apple is more worthwhile than any apple. I just wanted to make that distinction to prevent readers awaiting the presence of apples in the stories. Any apples will be purely symbolical versions of the golden apple from the myth. It was a source of inspiration, yet it is not the story. This was an idea that came about after discussing other possible versions of Breaking Dawn. I HIGHLY, HIGLY value reviews for this chapter. Please, review. I base my continuation of a story largely based on initial response. Just drop two words. It takes less than 10 seconds. "Continue it" is enough for me. Please, let me know.
Preface: Not the Only Buffy
"BELLA, do you not understand who the Hell you are? It is in your nature. You are purposefully drawn to them. Drawn to-" Atalanta began looking over Bella in a disapproving nature as she ordered.
"Of course, I love them. They are my family." I interrupted. She did not understand that the Cullens, whether or not bound by blood or relatives, were and forever would be my family. A family that no matter what book, no matter what source, even no matter what type of mythical creature proved otherwise, I would not stop caring about them. I would not stop loving them. They were my family for better and worse.
"BLOODY HELL! Bella, listen to yourself speak," Atalanta roared, "you are not drawn to them to befriend them, to cuddle them, to love them. You are drawn bloody well to them to kill them, to wipe their entire race of the face of the planet. They are killers, cold-hearted murderers."
"No!" I retorted.
"Yes, I have seen what Jasper has done to countless people. He has merciless murdered innocent people from wonderful children to delightful women. He did not care. He did not take a moment to understand what he did. He just continued to rid anything that bled. It is in their nature. And people never change their nature." Atalanta continued.
"You are wrong. You are so wrong. No matter what you say. I will not allow you to hurt them." I replied. Atalanta was delusional if she even believed in the slightness that I would cause harm to them
"Yes, I am wrong. I am not going to kill them." Atalanta replied in a calm and even tone.
"Finally, we agree on something." I replied. A sense of calm and tranquility overwhelmed me. She finally understood that no matter what occurred in the past. No matter how many people Edward has killed in the past. That no matter how much destruction Jasper might have caused in the past. I would not harm them for harming them, killing them was the same as killing me. For the moment that Edward stopped existing, I would cease to be.
Atalanta took a moment to think before stating in a calm and serene tone, "I am not going to kill them, you are. You are the future. You are the next vampire hunter."
