I Wish This Would Never End: RiSo Version

"Wait! Sora-!"

The silverette, clad in a ruffled white polo shirt and denim blue jeans, fought desperately through the thick crowd of university students, trying to reach the spiky tuft of brown hair that was already shrinking into the distance. A gaggle of giggling girls suddenly passed his vision, and then the brunette was gone.

Riku sank to the ground in defeat, tangling both hands in his hair in frustration. People giggled and whispered as they gave the crouching silver-haired young man odd looks as they passed.

"Shit..."

Riku hadn't seen the little brunette in 4 months, the longest the two have been apart since they met at the young age of 10. They were best friends up until they entered high school, then puberty kicked in. All Riku knew back when his hormones started taking control of his thoughts was that Sora looked...different than he usually did. The two boys were tense and confused about their feelings for each other until they were both 16 years old,
until Riku was man enough to admit to himself he liked Sora and finally confessed; and was surprised and elated with the cute brunette's unexpected reply. They both safely graduated high school and entered the same university together, relationship still going strong; that was until Riku did something truly and stunningly stupid 4 months ago.

After the silverette's idiotic lapse of judgement, Sora had immediately transferred out of all his classes that he shared with his now ex-boyfriend. And no matter how much Riku wanted to talk with Sora and apologize, it was proving to be impossible. The campus they currently studied was huge and had 11 different buildings. Not only that, Sora had taken to avoiding Riku whenever he saw him, changed his cell number, banned their mutual friends from telling Riku his new class schedule, and hadn't returned to their shared apartment since then.

Riku groaned into the palms of his hands as the memory of the incident that ruined everything between Sora and him flashed through his mind.

-Flashback-

"Please Riku, I love you. I really want to get back together with you." begged a red-haired girl as she stared up at him with pleading blue eyes.

Riku was astounded as he stared into the eyes of his ex-girlfriend. During the time when he was still confused about how he felt about Sora during high school, he had gone out with a pretty girl named Kairi. He had several classes with her back then and thought her to be nice, sociable, and was especially attracted to her big blue eyes (which he later realized were similar to Sora's), which was why he thought it would be fine to go out with her. He had broken up with her once he realized what he felt for Sora was what he should have been feeling for Kairi, as well as because of various other problems in their relationship. It had been a pretty bad break-up, he had been slapped and hit, and had profanities shouted down on him; he hadn't so much as seen a single hair of her since that time. But here he was, standing alone with her beside the science building he had just walked out of, he had heard his name being called out and before he knew it, was dragged behind several trees and was facing a girl he thought he'd never see again, who was begging for a relationship he never wanted with her again.

"Look, Kairi," Riku started, trying to quickly think of a way to turn her down gently enough so he wouldn't get beaten up by her, again. "I'm already together with-"

Kairi slyly touched her hands with Riku's, running her soft hands up the silverette's bare arms, then smoothly coiled her arms around Riku's broad shoulders.

"Please...?" Kairi breathed, staring up at Riku from under her eyelids.

Damn, why were her eyes so much like Sora's?

"N-no, I'm already-"

Her deep blue eyes bore into Riku's eyes, fluttering her eyelashes almost exactly like how Sora always does whenever he was feeling a little...frisky.

"Riku...Kiss me..."

And before he knew it, Riku was making out with her, a hand on her back, pressing her body against his.

"R-Riku?"

A familiar voice broke through Riku's haze of lust, his eyes immediately snapped open, he quickly pushed Kairi away as his senses returned to him and turned towards the source of the voice.

A young brunette man stood a few meters from the silverette, he had come to meet up with Riku after the silverette's classes, he had looked around for a while until he spotted Riku's very noticeable silver hair sticking out from behind a tree and headed over, a little confused on why his boyfriend was hiding behind the tree in the first place.

"Riku, why...?" Sora's sky-blue eyes, wide with shock and hurt, looked back and forth between the redhead and his boyfriend, "Why?"

"Sora-" Riku began, but before the silverette could say another word, the brunette had turned tail and ran off, "SORA!"

Riku ran after him, but it was too late, the brunette was already nowhere to be seen.

-End of Flashback-

Riku cursed at himself, how could he have been so stupid? He let his lust take over for a minute, and now the most important relationship he has ever had was in peril. He had to talk to Sora again, and soon.

-Axel's Apartment-

"No."

"C'mon, just tell me!"

"Hell no."

"Why not?!" Riku exclaimed in exasperation. He had finally decided to head over to Axel's apartment later on, seeing as Axel was best friends with Roxas who was the closest friend to Sora after Riku took up the mantle of being his lover. If anything, Roxas would definitely know where Sora spent his time now, but there was no way the little blonde would tell him if Sora didn't want him to, but he might have told Axel, and the red-head was a different matter to deal with.

"Cuz' little Sora is pretty handy with a kendo sword and Roxy would probably not bother with a weapon and just straight on rip my balls out," said the redhead, rolling his eyes as he leaned back lazily on his rugged green couch, both arms laid casually on the back rest, "And I like my body being hole-free and my nuts staying where they are thank-you very much."

"Axel, please!" Riku said desperately, roughly grasping fistful's of the pyro's black shirt, "I need to see Sora!"

"Hey hey hey!" Axel barely managing to pry Riku's steel-like fingers off of him, "No violence in my apartment! Just sit and calm down man!"

The silverette, took a few breaths before slumping down onto the couch next to the redhead,
face in his hands, "I'm-I'm sorry it's just...I would do anything, ANYTHING to get Sora back.

Then Axel shivered as he suddenly felt a chill in the air, and as Riku slowly lifted his head up, aquamarine eyes glowing shrewdly through a thin wall of hair, the pyro could swear he saw a dark aura surrounding his silver-haired friend.

"Anything."

The pyro had a sinking feeling he was not going to like what was going to happen next.

"Do you remember the english exam we had last week?" The green-blue eyed male said slowly.

Axel's ominous feelings grew deeper, "Y-yeah?"

"I wonder how the university would feel if an anonymous source told them," Riku said casually with an underlying menacing tone, "That it was your older brother Reno who took your place and did that exam for you?"

Axel groaned in defeat, dragging his hand down his face. Yep, he was screwed.

"That's a low blow, especially coming from you," sighed the emerald-eyed man as he eyed the silverette sitting next to him. He noted Riku's unusually messy and somewhat greasy hair, the dark bags hanging under what use to be sharp shining aquamarine eyes, but were now a dull murky green, bristles of silvery hair poking out from his chin, and the ragged looking polo shirt and pants he was wearing, complete with several stains from who knows when. His usual neat and orderly friend was looking like he was completely falling apart.

The unfortunate spiky haired youth scrunched up his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Alright alright, I give up. Not only because you're blackmailing me but because you're looking like you're on the verge of cracking my friend."

Riku sat up expectantly, eager to finally have some concrete facts on where and how his beautiful brunette was.

Axel gave another sigh, holding up a flat palm in front of the silverette, "Now, first of all, I have to warn you, you're not going to like what I'm about to tell you, so prepare yourself."

"What? Is Sora alright?" Riku asked worriedly, "Is he sick? Or hurt?! or-!"

"No no no, Sora's all healthy and fit and all that," Axel interrupted Riku's rant calmly, "Now shut up and listen, I'm ripping apart my best friend's trust in me for you, so no interruptions no matter what because I ain't going to continue if you do, got it?"

Riku nodded and sat still, staring at the redhead as he silently urged him to continue.

"Alright, so, after you kissed your ex-girlfriend senseless while your boyfriend was watching," Axel said, watching Riku wince at the comment, "Sora didn't feel like seeing your mug afterwards, so he ran to Roxy and begged if he could stay at his his apartment for a few days."

"He was a mess, he skipped like a week of classes and just holed himself up in Roxy's guest room, refusing to come out," The pyro said, shaking his head, the silverette painfully gripped his hands on his knees, "And when he did, it was just so he could beg a few other friends to stay at their places for a few days. That was mainly because, Sora, being our outrageously nice and generous friend that he is, didn't want to bother Roxy too much for overstaying his welcome or whatnot."

"So he switched from friend to friend every couple of days for a while, and as you probably know, switched out of all the classes he had with you, and-" Axel hesitated, really not wanting to say what he was going to say, "...You remember when Roxas and Sora became friends back in the first year of high school?"

The silverette grew confused, was the redhead changing the subject? He opened his mouth to protest but snapped it back shut when Axel gave him a glare that said 'Shut up, you talk, then I won't."

"Well, to put it bluntly..." Axel grated on whilst thinking sadly, 'Goodbye my beautiful balls...', "It was pretty much love at first sight for Roxy."

The aquamarine eyed youth felt his jaw drop open, not quite believing what he was hearing.

"Yeah, well, as you know, he also became friends with you and me, Wakka, Tidus, Demyx, etc,
etc," Axel continued, resisting the urge to roll his eyes again at Riku's aghast face, "And of course to everyone but you and Sora, it was painfully obvious you two had the hots for each other."

"Naturally, Roxy also knew that. He knew Sora liked you, and he knew you liked Sora. And he respected and cared about you as a friend enough to not interfere with your inevitable get together with little Sora," The pyro sighed, "He knew you'd treat Sora well, so he let his first love go without a fight."

Riku was in a whirlwind of emotions. He was shocked that Roxas felt that way about Sora, he felt new-found compassion to his friend who gave up the brunette because of him, and he was still confused on what this had to do with Sora right now.

"Now when I said Roxas let our blue-eyed friend go, that didn't exactly mean he stopped loving him," Axel said, "He did try to stomp out his feelings for Sora by going out with other people like Seifer and Hayner, but they never worked out, so he stepped out of the dating game. But again, since Sora and you were all happily-ever-after and all, he didn't dare get between you two despite how he felt."

"However, since the kissing-a-person-who-was-not-Sora fiasco," Axel said, "Roxy was so pissed off at you that he didn't waste anytime comforting, spending his time with, and working his way into Sora's heart."

The silverette could feel his stomach plummet.

"After the incident, Roxy went out of his way to be with Sora as much as possible," Axel said, "And after about half-a-month of living in different places, Roxy managed to convince Sora to stay at his place again, reassuring him that our brunette could stay as long as possible."

"And around the end of the month," Axel breathed out, "Roxy finally confessed to Sora."

Riku's nails sunk deep into his palm as his fisted hands shook.

"Sora more or less rejected him at first, but Roxy was pretty clever in showing outright how much he cared about the brunette," Axel said, "And now they're sort of...together."

"Together?" Riku all but whispered, feeling like his heart was going to rip out of his chest.

"Sort of," Axel unhelpfully clarified, "I mean they go out sometimes and stuff, but Sora's still a little hesitant about it, and I'm pretty sure it's because he still has feelings for you."

The silver-haired young man felt a surge of hope sprout from the despair he was feeling.

"Sora's still living in Roxy's apartment, " The pyro said, scribbling Roxas's address down on a scrap piece of paper,"If you want to win him back, you better not kiss anymore ex-girlfriends in the future."

Riku graciously accepted the piece of paper and muttered a quick "Thanks,", he was about to rush out the door, but a thought suddenly came to him and he turned back, looking at his green-eyed friend.

"I know I haven't been the most observant person, especially around my friends," Riku said carefully, "But I could've sworn...that you...for Roxas..."

Emerald-eyes widened in surprise, but quickly shrunk to cheerful upside-down crescents.

"Ah, so I was obvious after all," Axel chuckled a little sadly, "Well, I've just been waiting for Roxy to 'see' me, it was...pretty much love at first sight for me too, cheesy, I know.
But not everyone's as lucky as you and Sora, so hurry up and get him back you dolt."

"Oh..." Not sure what to say next, Riku stode towards the door while saying behind him, "Thanks Axel."

The pyro just grinned and waved as the silverette shut the door, then his face twisted to one that was grim and tired. He always knew something like this was going to happen sooner or later.

-Flashback-

-Highschool: 8th grade-

Axel was only half-listening to Sora babble something about making a new friend from across the lunch table as he ate his hotdog. Man, who knew such a small guy could have this many things to say about something as mundane as making...a...

The pyro could feel his train of thought slow as he saw the cutest blonde boy he had never laid eyes on approaching hesitantly towards the lunch table he sat with the rest of his friends.

Who. The. Hell. Is. That?

"Roxas!" Sora exclaimed delightedly as soon as he spotted the blonde.

Oh, so that was his his name...Wait, how the hell did Sora-? Oh right, the new friend mentioned earlier...

"Come sit next me! Scoot over Riku," the brunette said excitedly as shuffled over to make room for Roxas to sit in, "So guys! This is Roxas! Roxas these are my friends, next to me is my best friend Riku, and over their is...!"

The pyro tuned out the brunette's voice as he paid full attention to the newcomer, who nodded adorably in politeness to each person introduced. Big navy blue eyes, thick, long blonde eyelashes fluttering nicely everytime the teen blinked, and stiff expression on his face which was probably caused by nervousness by being suddenly introduced to a bunch of strangers, Axel thought that the blonde was incredibly adorable.

'...And across from is Axel! Riku and I have been friends with him since elementary school!"

The emerald-eyed teen immediately pulled himself out of thoughts and put forth his signature charming smile as he extending his hand across the table, "Axel's my name, got it memorized?"

The blonde looked at the hovering hand with one eyebrow raised before a small grin spread on his face as he gave an amused chuckle, latching his hand with Axel's, "This is the first time I've shook hands to make a friend, nice to meet you...Axel."

That one smile did it. Heart stopping, brain clogging, stomach flipping, the signs were all there; the pyro was completely in love with Roxas.

As the lunch hour went on, Roxas seemed to fit in pretty well into their posse despite not making many expressions nor talking all that much. Axel was observing and storing every bit of information about the blonde as he could, the pyro loved every little thing Roxas did or said until...until Axel noticed the adoring gaze the blonde gave Sora as they started to chat amiably across the table, he could feel his stomach sinking. And then when Sora turned away to give Riku the special look he always reserved for the silverette, Axel watched Roxas's happy expression immediately drop, and the redhead could feel his heart drop with it.

Something big was going to happen that all four teens weren't going to like, Axel could just feel it.

-End of flashback-

He scratched the back of his head and sighed before finally dragging himself off the couch to grab a coat and put on a pair of boots.

"This is not going to be pretty," Axel muttered as he walked out his door to follow after Riku.

-The Alley-

Riku was practically tearing up the cement floors of the alleyway as he headed as fast as he could to Roxas's apartment. He was desperate to see his blue-eyed lover once again. The day he realized he loved Sora was the day he knew the brunette was the only one he would love for the rest of his life.

-Flashback-

-Highschool: 10th Grade-

"Mmm, I love you..." murmured Kairi once she finally separated from making out with Riku behind the school, "Are you sure you can't come over to my house today? My parents won't be home..."

"Yeah, have a project I have to finish for history," Riku lied smoothly, quickly sidestepping her not very discrete suggestion, "Anyways, see you tomorrow."

"Hmmph, fine," Kairi grumbled, lips pursing unpleasantly, "See you tomorrow."

Riku waved her off as she walked down the block to her bus stop before turning the other way to walk home, sighing.

Kairi had confessed to him a few months before. Riku had several classes with her before, and thought she was quite nice, proper, and cute, so he agreed to date her. However, she had another side to her that Kairi hadn't shown before in school.

She wanted to have sex.

Not that Riku had a problem with that, he was a guy after all. But it was the way the red-haired girl went out of her way to get it. Like when they'd go out on dates, she'd wear the skimpiest,
low-chested and mini-skirted dresses possible, constantly pressing her chest against Riku's arm or dropping something on purpose so she could bend over and give Riku a clear view of her g-stringed panties. And rather than turning the silverette on, it just made him feel more and more disgusted with her, she was acting just like a whore. Yet at school she dressed properly and neatly, acted completely normal and cute, giving Riku sweet kisses and adorable hugs.

Riku kept wondering why he hadn't broken up with her yet, she was really getting on his nerves.
But whenever the silverette looked into those big blue eyes, any rejections he wanted to voice just withered away down his throat. He knew he didn't like her, but her eyes...

The silverette glanced up once he heard a familiar voice up ahead of him, his teal-eyes immediately spotting a short brunette walking beside another boy around the same hieght with spikey blonde hair.

"Sora! Roxas!" Riku called out, and walked a bit more quickly to catch up with them. He hadn't hung out with them as often once he started going out with Kairi, she kept demanding he spend all his time with her from picking her up in the morning to lunch, and sending her back home afterschool, "I haven't seen you guys in a while, how's it going?"

"Riku!" Sora smiled up at the silverette, his bright aquamarine eyes gazing up at him in delight, making Riku's heart miss a couple of beats. He had always thought the color of Sora's eyes were really awesome, beautiful really, just like the sky, "You're-"

Riku watched confusedly as the brunette's face went from happy, to uncomfortable, to really troubled in a span of 30 seconds.

"What's wrong Sora?" Riku asked, growing concerned. Did something happen to his best friend?
"Is there something bothering you?"

"N-no," Sora said hesitantly, bringing up a poorly disguised happy expression, "It's nothing, anyways, I need to go home now and think about-I mean, I've got homework, no wait, a test! Bye!"

And the brunette hurriedly zipped away, leaving his two friends behind. One looking completely bewildered while the other just looked on knowingly.

Roxas just sighed and started walking while Riku followed, questioning the blonde, "Roxas, what's up with Sora?"

The blonde looked up into worried cerulean eyes, and then looked back in front of him, sighing again, "I can't even hate him...You two are so dense..."

"What did you say? I couldn't hear."

"Nothing," Roxas said shortly, "Sora's fine, he's just working over a take home problem I gave him. Anyways, how's it going with Kairi?"

'A take home problem?' Riku thought perplexedly before answering the blonde's question, "Not well, I really want to break up with her. But I'm having trouble doing it..."

"What's the problem?" Roxas asked, peering back up at Riku, one eyebrow raised, "Just tell her it's over."

"That's what I want to say," Riku said exasperatedly, "But whenever the time comes to do it,
and she looks up at me with her-her really blue eyes...I just, my brain just sort of freezes and I never say it. I know I really don't like her that way now, but I just...I don't know what's wrong with me Roxas."

"Blue huh?" Roxas said quietly, he then stopped abruptly at the corner of the sidewalk.

"Hm? Why did you stop walking?" Riku asked, looking over his friend.

Roxas's dark blue-eyes stared hard into Riku's face before the blonde finally decided to say something, "What's the only thing you like about Kairi? Her blue eyes. Think about it, that's my take home problem for you."

Roxas lightly punched Riku's chest, which still had enough force to knock the wind out of Riku's lungs, and murmured, "Hurry up and figure it out idiot, otherwise I'll..."

"R-Roxas? Wha-?!"

But the blonde had already walked off of hearing range, leaving the winded silverette behind.

-That night-

'What's the only thing you like about Kairi? Her blue eyes. Think about it...'

Riku thought about Roxas's comment over and over in his head since coming home till currently at 1:00 am, yet he still didn't quite know what the blonde was getting at.

The silverette rolled around in his bed frustrated, and then he spotted the picture frame he had on his bedside table. It was Sora and him when they were 10, one arm flung around each other and laughing while covered in mud and carrying around butterfly nets. Riku smiled at the memory, his headache earlier forgotten. That was the year he became best friends with Sora, it was probably one of the happiest memories of his life. They were always together since then, sleeping over at each others houses, playing video games until their eyes practically dried out, both of them getting yelled at by Sora's mom for stealing cookies after dinner, trying to figure out their physics homework in his room unsuccessfully...

Riku's face fell as he realized he seriously hadn't been hanging out or even seen the little brunette for a long time. He really missed being with Sora, his life just seemed really mundane and his body was just going through the motions of the late without his best friend. Riku missed laughing over stupid things with Sora, missed seeing him smile, missed looking into those big sky-blue-

The silverette abruptly sat up, cerulean eyes wide, realization hitting him like a ton of bricks.

'Blue eyes...Think about it...'

-Three days later-

Riku walked determinately towards Sora's art class after school, Roxas had texted him saying the brunette was the last student in there and was just cleaning up after his assignment. After three days of deliberation, Riku knew what he had to do. He was going to break up with Kairi, but before that-

Wham! Someone knocked into him as soon as the silverette opened the art room door.

"I'm sor-Riku!" Sora said once he had a good look at the person he just ran into, "I-"

"Sora, wait, I have something to say to you,"

The brunette quieted down and looked up at the silverette questioningly, curious as to why Riku looked so serious.

"I...I'm breaking up with Kairi," Riku said hesitantly, unsure of how the brunette was going to react from what he was going to say, "I've been wanting to break up with her for a while actually. In fact, I think the only reason I've been together with her is because...because she looks a little like you."

"..." Sora stared at his best friend disbelievingly, did Riku just say...?

"I can't believe it took me this long to figure out but...I'm in love with you. And I think I've been in love with you all along."

"Riku..." Sora said in a hushed voice, emotions welling up in his throat.

"I know you don't feel the same," Riku said quietly as Sora jerked his head up alarmed, "So,
you can act like you never heard this if you want to. But if one day you feel even an ounce of-"

"Riku!" Sora interrupted, his face completely pink, "You don't have to say anymore."

Riku felt his stomach twisting, did Sora find him that disgusting?

"I-I feel the same way," Sora said, his face now turning into the color of a beet, "You don't have to say anymore because I love you too Ri-"

The blue-eyed teen couldn't say anymore on the account that his face and body were now pressed tightly against the torso of the taller silverette, who had grabbed and then hugged the brunette with all his might, burying his face in Sora's soft chocolate brown hair.

-High-school: 12th grade-

"We made it to the same university Riku!" exclaimed Sora excitedly, waving the acceptance letter around the air while jumping around Riku's room in his untucked white dress shirt and black dress pants, "I can't believe I was smart enough to pass, we can go to classes together and eat together and-!"

"Calm down Sora!" Riku chuckled as he grabbed the bouncing brunette and sat on his bed with his boyfriend on his lap, "I can't believe you still have this much energy after we had to stand for about six hours at our graduation ceremony..."

"But it was worth it! We finally graduated," Sora said cheerfully, wrapping his arms around Riku and kissing him on the cheek, "And we're going to the same university, I don't think my life can get any happier than this!"

"Oh really?" Riku said slyly, pushing Sora onto his back in his bed before giving him a chaste kiss on his lips, "Want to bet?"

"W-what?" Sora uttered, his heart beating erratically in his chest as he stared upwards into his lover's wonderful cerulean eyes.

"What if I told you..." murmured Riku as he kissed up Sora's jaw, fingers sneaking up under the brunette's dress shirt, "That I rented an apartment for the both us?"

Sora's eyes nearly bulged out, "WHAT?! You're kidding!"

The brunette grabbed Riku's head and pulled him down, kissing him enthusiastically, "I can't believe-MMmm...You did-Nnn! We're-mmm!"

Riku pulled back laughing, "Geez, either kiss or talk, you can't do both Sora."

Sora pouted, jutting out his bottom lip cutely, "Hmm, fine."

The brunette spread his arms wide open and smiled adorably up at Riku, "Kiss please?"

'Damn, why is Sora always this adorable?' thought Riku as he stroked a few strands of stray hair away from the brunette's face before diving in and kissing the life out of his lover, 'I love him so much...'

-Year University: 1st year-

The two males were just laying on their bed, doing nothing in particular but cuddling up to each other. Sora was nestling his head against Riku's shoulder, his eyes fluttering open and close, his breathe getting more shallow as he started to doze off.

The silverette just watched his boyfriend's eyes finally close shut through his half-lidded teal orbs, a serene smile on his lightly tanned face as Sora drifted off to sleep. As Riku's eyes started to close as well, a lingering thought echoed through his mind as his vision gradually went black.

'I wish this would never end...'

And the two men slept, soft smiles plastered on both their faces, their fingers intertwined with each other.

-End of flashback-

Riku would be damned if he let Sora go without a fight. His brunette was everything to him and he would do anything to get him back.

With that thought in mind, the silverette sprinted even faster down the alley, not wanting to waste even a second to see his precious person. That was, until he crashed into someone as he turned the corner.

-Roxas's Apartment-

"Sora! I'm going to head out to get some groceries!" yelled out Roxas from his kitchen, having discovered that all he had left in his refrigerator was a carton of expired milk and a half-eaten pack of ham, "Want to come with me?"

"Nah, sorry Roxas," the brunette called out from the living room, tapping on his laptop so furiously that the blonde could hear it from the next room over, "I have to finish this stupid 10 page essay on how different molecular biology is today than from 50 years ago, it's due tomorrow morning!"

"I told you to start it earlier than 2 days before it's due," the blonde youth sighed as he strode into his living room, eyes lighting up as soon as he saw the cute brunette, with the way he sat cross-legged on the couch, brow wrinkled, wearing glasses he only wore when he needed to read or stare into a monitor screen for a long time, dressed in a loose blue hoodie and black short, and typing away on his laptop with a look of pure concentration.

"Mmmhmm," Sora hummed, barely listening as he as his fingers blurred across the keyboard,
then he felt warm fingers gently tilting his head upwards, as well as his glasses being taken off.

"Can I get a good bye kiss?" Roxas asked softly, watching Sora's face stiffen for a few seconds before relaxing and giving the blonde a small sweet smile.

"Okay..." Sora's eyelids fluttered closed, eyelashes brushing his cheeks which were stained with a slight pale shade of pink.

Roxas smiled before gently cupping the brunette's face and leaning in to press his mouth against Sora's soft, peachy lips, sighing happily as he lightly kissed and brushed his lips against the brunette's, always careful not to get too passionate without permission in case he would scare the blue-eyed male away.

"See you later," Roxas whispered when they finally separated, and quickly headed out the door, trying to hide the blush covered his face.

-The Alley-

Roxas walked unhurriedly down the sidewalk, clothed in a blue denim jacket over a white shirt and green cargo pants, thinking about the way Sora face looked when he left he apartment. The blonde was beyond elated that he managed to make Sora's blush deepen after he kissed him, but there was also bits of guilt and unsureness etched in his expression as well. Probably because the brunette was thinking of...

The spiky haired male's hands clenched into fists as he thought of his silverette friend,
he had trusted him! Trusted that Riku would take care of Sora, trusted him enough to never reveal his feelings he's had for the brunette since the first time he met him at the age of 14. He never thought the cerulean eyed man would do something so bastardly as to make out with his bitch of an ex-girlfriend in front of Sora, the next time the blonde saw that bastard, he would-

As if on cue, as soon as the blonde turned into an alley for a shortcut to the market, something big and silver collided with him as he turned a street corner. The two males stumbled back from each other but managed to regain their footing.

"Sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going and-!" Riku stopped talking as soon as he recognized the individual in front of him, "Roxas?!"

"Riku?!" gasped the blonde in shock, his expression then quickly morphed into one of fury,
"What the hell do you think you're doing here?!"

"I-I'm here to see Sora," The silverette uttered shakily, but still determined, "And I know he's staying with you."

"How do you-?" Roxas started, the only people that knew Sora was staying with him was Roxas,
Sora, and...His blue-eyes shrunk into slits as a single name slid venomously out through his teeth, "Axel..."

"It wasn't his fault, I blackmailed him," the silver-haired male said hurriedly, not wanting Axel blamed for his selfishness, "He really didn't want to tell me, but I forced him to."

Roxas glared icily at him, "So what? Do you really think I'd let you see Sora after you cheated on him AND blackmailed my best friend?!"

"No," Riku said steadily, holding his ground, "I would break down your door to see Sora if I had to, but I prefer gainning your permission instead. Because you're my friend and that you...took care of Sora while I wasn't there."

The blue-eyed blonde lost it, lurching forward, fisting his hands into the taller man's collar and slamming him painfully the brick wall of the alleyway, "Of course I took care of him! After you kissed that bitch in front of him, he wouldn't come out of my guest room for days! He wouldn't eat, or talk, or sleep, all because of you!"

Riku closed his eyes in regret, taking everything Roxas was throwing at him.

"I thought you loved Sora so much that he was you're whole world, that's why I thought my good friend Riku derserved to be with Sora more than me!" spat the blonde, his electifying blue eyes contracted in anger, "I thought you two would be the perfect couple!"

Roxas grew quiet as he hissed out in a cold whisper, "So when I found out about your stupid impulsive descision, I jumped in at the chance that I thought I would never have with him, the chance to be with Sora."

The silverette's hands clenched into fists, arms shaking in quiet ire, but he continued to listen on silently at his blonde friend's rant.

"It took so long for him to even consider me, it took weeks before he even let me hold his hand," Roxas said acidly, relishing on how each of his words seem to stab Riku in the heart, "It took a month more before I managed get him to agree to start dating with me."
WHAM!

At the last statement, the silver-haired male hit him right in the jaw, cerulean eyes flashing in unexpressable anger. Roxas stumbled back, but was quick in regainning his posture and hit Riku right back, fist connecting with the side of the silverette's face. Roxas didn't stop there, he kicked Riku hard in the shin, making him howl in pain, before shoving him hard enough to stumble backwards into the ground.

Once Riku's vision cleared, he looked up to see teary sea-blue eyes looking down on him.

"And now, you're going take all my hard-work away from me. You're going to take Sora away from me aren't you?" Roxas spoke in a harsh bitter voice, "Because you love him, and he loves you."

The blonde haired male voice cracked as he forced himself to say what he always shoved to the back of his mind, "And because he doesn't love me."

The silverette stared as tears fell down Roxas's face, "Roxas-"

"Don't-!" Roxas growled hoarsely, "Now shut up, I'm going to get Sora to come out to see you,
so pull yourself together and make yourself presentable, you look like crap."

The blonde turned on his heel and began trudging back to his apartment.

"Wait..."

Roxas paused, turning his face back a fraction to see the silverette struggle to sit upright,
looking straight at him.

"Thank you Roxas, and I'm sorry..."

"..." Roxas turned back and continued on his way, and spoke in a volume that was just barely audible to the silverette, "I'm not doing it for you..."

-Roxas's Apartment-***

Sora's head snapped towards the doorway as soon as he heard the jiggling of the doorknob,
looking confused, there was no way half-an-hour would be enough time for Roxas to finish grocery shopping.

The blonde slowly walked in, eyes red and with a large purple bruise forming on his right jaw, Sora immediately rushed to him in worry.

"What happened?! Did someone beat you up?! Should I call the police?!" The brunette babbled,
gently touching the bruise on Roxas's face, "Hurry up and come in! We need to treat you!"

Roxas didn't move, eyes looking intensely at Sora's face, "I love you."

Sora's eyes widened, startled. He hadn't heard Roxas say that since he confessed to him around 3 months ago, "I-I know..."

"Do you love me?"

Blue locked with blue, awkward silence hung in the air between the two men.

Roxas smiled bitterly, "Yeah...You love Riku don't you? I knew it all along, yet I glued myself to you, hoping you'd look at me for once."

Sora put his hands on Roxas's shoulders, trying to figure out something to say, "Roxas, I-"

"He's here," Roxas interrupted, not wanting to hear half-assed tender comments from the brunette youth, especially not at this moment, "He's waiting for you outside, a block from the right of the apartment."

Sora froze, foot stepping back as if he was going to scurry back into the darkest corner of Roxas's home and hole himself there. Roxas's arms shot out and latched themselves around Sora's wrists, "You're going to meet him, it's about time you admit you still love him."

The brunette jerked and struggled at Roxas's hold, but the blonde refused to let go. At last Sora gave up, already knowing deep down that his friend was right, he needed to face Riku.

Seeing the change in Sora's eyes, Roxas released the brunette's arms.

"Go," he said monotonously, face a careful blank.

Sora took a step past Roxas through the door, then hesitated and turned back.

"Roxas, I-I can't tell you how much it meant to me when you took me in and took care of me these past few months," Sora said quietly, "And when you said you loved me, I was actually a little happy and flattered that you would like a dork like myself. And the way you cared and comforted me...made me love you a little, but not as much as I love Riku."

He looked sadly into Roxas's eyes, "I'm so sorry...And thank you."

Sora leaned in slightly and pecked Roxas's lips before hurrying down the hall.

And behind him, standing alone in his empty apartment, Roxas sunk to the ground, body pressed against the wall with his legs splayed about on his rug, he finally broke down completely and cried.

"Roxy..."

A voice made him lift his head up from his misery.

"...Axel?" the blonde croaked.

"So you do have it memorized," Axel joked lightly, crouching next to the crumpled male, ruffling his hair.

"Go away," Roxas mumbled.

"Hell no, as your best friend, I get certain rights nobody else gets," Axel said, grabbing the blonde from the underside of his arms and hoisting him up to his feet, "Like being there for you when your heart gets smashed to pieces and the words "overstaying ones welcome"
doesn't apply to me."

"The hell that's true," Roxas muttered under his breathe, but allowed Axel to half drag him back into his apartment, the barest twitch flickered at the corners of his mouth.

-The Alley-

The brunette quickly ran down the sidewalk and turned into the first alley he spotted, and immediately saw a silver-haired young man on the ground, leaning heavily against the wall looking rather dishevelled and beat up.

"...Hi," Sora said, hovering warily a few feet away from the silverette.

"Hey," Riku answered as his whole face seem to light up at the sight of the adorable brunette, giving the azure eyed man a relieved smile, "I'm glad...that you're willing to see me."

"You're hurt," Sora observed, noting the dark fist-sized bruise marring the olive skin of Riku's cheek and the slightly swollen and bleeding lip he sported.

"I had a...confrontation with Roxas," Riku said, the name making Sora's gut twist in guilt,
"Although I did have it coming."

The brunette's gaze lowered, hands playing nervously with the hems of his white t-shirt, "Why are you here?"

"To talk to you," The silver-haired males said, staring pleadingly up into the sky-blue eyes he loved so much, "Will you listen?"

Sora observed the state of the silverette, his hair had lost it's usual sheen and strands were sticking out at odd places, his face was rough and unshaven, his clothes were all rumpled and dirty, and most of all, his eyes were hollow and desperate. The brunette couldn't deny this pitiful man even if he wanted to, he nodded.

"I love you,"

Those three simple words bulldozed themselves deep into Sora's chest, he felt the overwhelming urge to just throw himself down into Riku's chest and take him back into his arms, but he didn't. He kept his face neutral, still haven't forgiven his lover just yet,
he had to hear what the silverette had to say.

"What I did, it was a lapse of judgement, a sudden whim, hormone overload, there are lots of excuses for what I did," Riku went on, "I don't even know myself exactly which reason it was, it may have been one, it may have been all of them, but the one thing I definitely can say about it is that I have no feelings for her, all my feelings...are reserved just for you."

"When you left me, and you had the right, I was empty, broken, nothing," Riku said, his beautiful teal eyes never waivering from the brunette, "I spent every second of every day looking for you, thinking of you, dreaming of you. Without you, I'm just a shell of a man that can barely keep on living."

Riku's eyes stared blatantly into those true-blue orbs that always reminded him of the wide cloudless sky, "All my feelings are just for you. Only you. Always."

"Riku..." Sora could only croak out.

"And I'll apologize over and over, as it takes for you to forgive me," Riku continued, "I'll do anything for you to give me just one more chance to be with you again."

"I love you," The silverette put every emotion he had into those words, "Will you forgive me?"

The brunette wanted nothing more than to do just that, but guilt suddenly crashed down in him like a raging tsunami.

"R-Riku, you're not the only person that needs to be forgiven," Sora said, eyes downcast,
"I did the same thing you did, except it wasn't a whim. I was hurt and Roxas just made me hurt less, and I let him continue being kind to me, leading him on when I knew he loved me. What I did was 10 times more horrible than your one kiss with Kairi, I'm not sure how you'll ever forgive-"

"I do, and I knew," Riku interrupted.

"You-you did?" Sora said in shock.

"And I don't care, I'll forgive anything you do," Riku said, his expression honest, "So long as you'll let me be by your side."

The brunette said nothing for brief moment, then tears began rolling down his cheeks as he flung himself into Riku's open arms.

"It hurt so badly when I saw you with her of all people!" Sora sobbed into the silverette's chest as he laid sprawled between his legs, "You idiot! Stupidest thing you've ever done...! And making me do the stupidist thing I've ever done!"

Riku wrapped his arms tightly around Sora, murmering apologies over and over again into his soft, chocolate spikes, blinking back the wetness forming in his own cerulean eyes.

"I missed you so much..." Sora said in a muffled voice in the taller man's chest.

Riku kissed the top of Sora's head before lifting his face up to kiss the salty tears away, "I think I missed you more..."

Sora lifted his head and pressed a tender kiss on Riku's lips, "Let's go home."

And with the smaller brunette helping to support the limping Riku, the two slowly made their way back home.

-Riku and Sora's Apartment-

They were barely through the door before they mashed their lips together, arms flinging all over each other, stumbling haphazardly through their apartment before crashing down into their bed in their bedroom.

Riku was on his back, groaning delightedly as the brunette showered him with urgent kisses while roughly shoving his polo shirt upwards to run his palms over the silverette's muscled chest. Riku cupped the back of Sora's head to trap him there as he gave him hard deep kisses, making the brunette moan wantonly against his mouth.

After thoroughly running his palms all over Riku's broad muscled chest, Sora's hands travelled downwards, unclasping Riku's belt buckle, unbuttoning and unzipping Riku's pants as well as his own in flurried movements.

Riku gasped as Sora roughly pressed and squeezed their lengths together with both his hands and began pumping in jerky movements.

"Ohh..." Sora moaned, eyes half-lidded as his body shook with pleasure as he jerked both of them together, cheeks red, mouth slightly ajar as he whimpered through each pump.

Oh god, how Riku had missed seeing his beautiful brunette lose himself like this to pleasure,
he could come right then just watching his lover mewl sexily above him, his face contorted in lust.

"Sora..." Riku whispered in a low gutteral voice as he shoved the brunette's shirt up, feeling up Sora's toned torso up to his nipples, which he flicked and rubbed, making the blue-eyed male's breathe hitch, "I missed you so much, Sora..."

"Ah!" the blue-eyed teen whimpered as he felt Riku tease his pink nubs and run his hands all around his body, every touch felt like hot searing burns against his skin, fueling his desire.
He wanted this man, he wanted Riku now.

Sora stopped pumping and positioned himself a little higher above Riku's pelvis, pressing the head of Riku's 12-inch hardened cock at his entrance.

"Wait, Sora," Riku groaned as he felt his tip enter slightly into Sora's tight ass, "I haven't prepped-"

"I don't care," Sora breathed heavily, pushing more of the head of the silverette's penis into him, "I need you, now."

And he proceeded to take in all of Riku's dick in one go, screaming in mixed pain and pleasure as Riku's hot solid length penetrated him at last.

"Oh god, Sora...!" Riku moaned as Sora slowly moved up and down his cock, picking up speed.
The silverette was slowly losing his senses, his abruptly started thrusting upwards in rhythm with Sora, making the brunette cry out and throw his head back in ecstasy.

"Riku...!"

Hearing his name yelled out like this for the first time in four months, that was the last straw for Riku. He rolled them both over and started thrusting harshly into the smaller brunette, burying his head into Sora's neck and ravishing every bit of it he could reach.

"Riku!" Sora screamed again as Riku filled him up to his hilt with his length over and over, it was so hot, so painful, yet it felt so overwhelmingly good. The silverette licked, kissed,
and bit every nook and cranny from Sora's collar, neck, and jaw, wanting to forever etch himself onto the blue-eyed male.

The silverette pounded into Sora harder, faster, making the brunette holler louder, writhing wildly beneath him. The cerulean eyed male pumped into Sora unrelentingly, wanting to completely bury himself into the one person he never wanted to seperate from, the one person that always made himself feel like he was worth something in the world, the one person he couldn't live without.

"Sora!"

"Riku!"

And Riku came into Sora as the brunette orgasmed at the same time, emptying himself into Sora's hole before lowering himself gently down on top of the brunette, wrapping his strong arms around Sora's waist while nestling his face into the crook of Sora's neck.

"I love you Sora," Riku murmurred against Sora's skin, "I won't ever do something that stupid again. So please, please never leave me again."

The silver-haired man felt two hands clasp gently on either side of his head, lifting his face upwards to look into those angelic aquamarine eyes, giving him the loving gaze which Sora had reserved especially for him.

"I love you too Riku, I love you so much," said Sora, smiling with welled up eyes, "Seeing you with another person broke me, and being away from you tore me apart. Just-just don't do something like that again, and I won't ever leave you."

"I won't," Riku kissed Sora's forehead, his cheeks, his nose, "Never, never again."

And finally Riku pressed his lips against Sora's mouth, who in turn wrapped his arms around the silverette's neck, kissing him back, finally together again.

The End.

More Author's Notes:

This story and about a dozen other's haven been sitting in my computer for quite a while, and due to a torrent of exams, I haven't had a chance to work on any of them till now.

There's so much fluff and emotion in this story, I nearly died writing it. Lol.

I know it was confusing because I wrote a parallel story matching it and because there are about a dozen flashbacks in time, but I hope you guys got through it alright and enjoyed reading it.

See you guys next time!
