Summary: Ginny betrayed the one man she loved for her family. What if she changes her mind?
Non-Serendipitous
A young women sat on the edge of her bed, the wind blowing in, mussing her soft, red hair to the side and ruffling her nightgown. She shivered unconsciously and clenched her fist, crumpling the object within it. Tears slipped down her face, ruining her makeup.
She had just gotten back from a party earlier and had seen the person that she loved, who had given her the letter now in her left hand. He had looked at her with cold, unforgiving eyes and walked out immediately.
An arm wrapped around her waist, clutching her to a warm body.
"Come on baby, I know that you don't want to be with me, but you can't just betray your family by going." the man behind her spoke.
"I know," the women answered in a soft, broken voice.
"Eventually you'll let go of him"
"I know."
"Everything you did was for the better, and you'll see. I'll be a good husband. I promise."
"I know."
The man looked at her with exasperation. He had moved in front of her, trying to see her eyes. But she just avoided him, more tears gathering. He sighed.
"I'm going to the bathroom to change, I'll be out in a few minutes."
The man stood up, placed his glasses on the bedside table and shook out his black hair. He shook his head again, walking out of the room.
The women looked at the note, more tears running down her face. She was betraying the man that she loved for her family, and it was killing her. He even had given up on them:
'I'm glad you finally found someone to make you happy. I just wish it could have been me. '
Tears feel on the note, as she started quietly sobbing. She couldn't take it any more. She stood up and looked at the doorway to the bathroom. She wiped the tears, set her jaw and walked out of the room. Out of the house. And out on her family.
She ran to the house that she had been at so many times. The one that was more home than anywhere else. She went to the door, about to use her key to get in when she heard voices. She walked to the window and saw something that made her heart stop.
The man she loved was there, getting undressed. In front of him was a women, also getting undressed and running her hands all over his body.
The women looked out the window at the girl. She screamed making the man jump and look outside. He only saw a flash of red hair and a small figure running away. He realized who it was immediately and yelled her name. But she ignored him.
She kept running until she couldn't. She stopped, collapsed into a heap and whispered one word, a mantra, while tears slipped down her cheeks. How very non-serendipitous.
'Draco, Draco, Draco, Draco...'
