A/N- Hello reader, I just want to take a quick moment before the story starts to thank you for checking this thing out. This is my first time doing anything like this, so I hope it comes out well. I was playing Saints Row 4 when I suddenly had a thought about the lack of other aliens in the game. So I thought I'd try to rectify that with the addition of an alien homie. Also, there will be no super speed power in this either. I thought for a long time about keeping it, but ultimately decided it made things too easy and erased tension. I can work around the other powers, but super speed was too much for me to be able to write around. So it will not show up. Lastly, I'm going to pull a NiraKaulitz and not describe the Boss at all in an attempt to be able to have you insert your own boss. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out their Saints Row fanfic "Queen of Hearts" it's really good. However, The Boss is female, and her name is Jess, that is as deep as this gets. This first chapter is a small one, just to see how this formatting works on the site.
Oh by the way, I, the random person on the internet, do not own Saints Row. (That's for those Legal Larries)
Chapter One: Wake Up
Jess, the boss of the Third Street Saints drove around simulated Steelport in her simulated Raycaster chatting with a seemingly omniscient version of Kinzie. She was on her way to the door out of the place that Kinzie had promised.
"So, Kinz, I don't recall you telling me about how you got out of your simulation. Ever gonna get around to that?" Jess looked up to the red sky-box, taking a bite out of a candy bar she found in the cup holders.
"Firstly, don't call me Kinz, secondly, I did tell you but you weren't paying attention. So I'm not going to tell you again." Kinzie responded almost immediately in her half casual half rushed voice as usual. The girl had an uncanny reaction time to these things, and it Jess out to no end.
"Hey, watch it with that tone young lady!" Jess opened the door of her Raycaster and stepped out, shouting at the sky, "I still control your wages." She pointed up and kept walking, almost bumping into the building her gps was leading her too. "Oh, I'm here." Jess quickly changed subject, knowing any argument with Kinzie was one she was not winning.
"Just jump up there and head through the door, okay?" Kinzie instructed Jess.
Jess did just that, climbing up the building with multiple wall hops and landing up top in front of the roof access door. She grabbed the handle and pulled… the door failed to open. She tried pushing, pulling again, and shaking the handle all to no avail. This went on for several minutes.
"Wrong door." Kinzie chimed in once the entertainment value of Jess failing to open a door ran dry. It was the little moments like this that kept her going, fucking with people by not doing anything at all.
Jess turned to her right and saw the massive light wall in the middle of the roof, she blushed a faint hue of crimson and wordlessly passed through the light into freedom. If only it were that easy.
