AGES OF SHE

CHAPTER ONE (PROLOGUE) - THE MEETING OF THE DALEK AND THE CENTURION

Amy Pond fell out of the church, thrown by the destruction of the rogue Dalek. She lay on the ground, still, waiting.

She was always waiting.

Amelia Pond, the girl who waited. That was what the Doctor had once called her. But then he left her on Carvena, looking for Rose, and he took Rory. Now all Amy could do was stay hidden in the continuous time loop of Carvena, held by the Dalek, spinning Amy 'round and 'round and 'round.

But finally Amelia Pond as stopped waiting.

She wanted her Raggedy Man back.

The Dalek suddenly started sounding off, honking at her with that odd metallic sound. It wheeled itself out of the Church, and started that terrible racket.

'EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! YOU MUST BE EXTERMINATED BY THE LAWS OF TIME AND SPACE, YOU CANNOT BE HERE, AMELIA JESSICA-'

'Pond.'

It was the smooth voice of a good man, even a great man and a better warrior. Amy turned to greet this man, and all the felt was hope.

'RORY!'

Rory ran forward and pushed Amy out of the way, dressed as the Last Centurion. He pulled his sword out of his makeshift belt, and jabbed at the Dalek, his sword denting at the metal of its shell. The Dalek seemed confused, sparks spurting out of it and rolling in different directions.

Amy leaped up and ran to the back of the Church, her boots thumping the hardened earth, dodging the tombstones. She finally made it to the tree, and wrenched a branch off, her head throbbing. Meanwhile, she heard the screech of metal against metal, as the Last Centurion destroyed the Rogue Dalek.

Amy ran back to the front of the Church, and felt quite pathetic with her branch as Rory stood over the lifeless Dalek.

'Amy!' he held out his arms.

'Rory Williams! How dare you leave me here for two weeks, to be chased around by Daleks, without the Doctor? Hmm?'

'The Doctor was having trouble guiding the Tardis through the time loop, you're lucky he could drop me in here, let alone him. Eleven Regens, no wonder planets don't want him around…'

Amy ran forward and hugged Rory, ignoring the feeling of the cold metal of his helmet against her skin.

'Anyway Amy, he's received a distress call.'

'Like the doll house call? Like the little boy?'

'No. This one he can't quite work out… he says its too strong to have come from just any alien.'

Amy pulled away from Rory and nodded. Suddenly, she heard a very strange noise. 'Rory-'

THUD

The Doctor looked forlornly back up at the two of them, from his rather miserable place on the floor, and slowly stood up, his suit dishevelled.

'Doctor! You left me- Hang on, wheres the Tardis?'

The Doctor spun around, and released that the Tardis had in fact remained invisible.

'Well, Sexy. Time to find where you've gone to...
