Author's Note: This is an AU to my original story "Get Back Home" meaning this is doesn't actually happen in the story, but due to plot bunnies I couldn't help but write this up. Please enjoy, and please check out the story that was inspired by this One-Shot!
"Hey Emma, Ace, where do babies come from?" It was an innocent enough question to the oblivious boy, Luffy, but to two nearly full grown adults, well, it wasn't as innocent as you would be lead to think. Ace, who was currently drinking some grog had gotten choked and spewed it out all over the red head across from him. The blue eyed girl across from him brow twitched in annoyance while holding her dumb of meat which was now, along with all of her upper half, covered in both the grog and Ace's spit.
"W-Why would you suddenly ask something like that!" Ace screamed at the younger boy, who merely shrugged.
"I heard Sanji saying something about babies one time to Nami. Where do they come from?" Ace's face was pure red, and it wasn't from the grog either. The red haired woman across from him sighed, taking a napkin and whipping away what she could of the stick substance clean from her face.
"Well Luffy," she started, catching both of the male's attention. "When a man is attracted to a woman, or vice verse, they both have se-"
"Emily!"Ace shouted, jumping up from the table and slamming his hands down, making all the food on the table jump. The woman looked up at the man, a small smirk on her face.
"What's wrong Ace? Is this a touchy subject for you?" Ace growled, his blush only getting worse by the second as he was set in a heated lock with Emma. Luffy looked back and forth between the two of them, finding this scenario strange and wondering why Ace was acting so strange toward Emma.
"Shut up, Squirt! You're a woman! You shouldn't be talking about this type of stuff!" Emma broke out in a fit of laughter, going so far as to grab her sides and slamming her fist down on the table a couple of times. Ace's eye twitched in annoyance, why was she laughing at something like this? Once she was finished, she gave one last small chuckle before grabbing her plate and standing from the table before turning around and walking away, waving a hand back toward Ace as she went to leave the room.
"Alright then, you tell him where babies come from mister man." Ace's mouth dropped, that dirty little! She tricked him! She actually planned on letting Ace be alone to handle this stupid and rather embarrassing question!?
"W-Wait! Emily!" Ace shouted, his arm out stretched, hoping that she wouldn't leave him alone to deal with this subject.
"Later Ace, have fun!" Was the response he was given as she shut the door on the way out of the room. Ace's mouth was agape as he slowly sat back down in his seat, his eyes locked on the closed door. Luffy tilted his head to the side even more confused now then before.
"So Ace, where do bab-"
"SHUT UP LUFFY!"
"B-But Ace!"
"I SAID SHUT IT IDIOT!"
Emily chuckled as she stood outside the room next to the door, hearing the embarrassment in Ace's voice. She snickered once more before turning and heading out to the deck. She knew that would be the last time Ace would ever pull the "You're a woman" card on her.
Least for a while anyways.
Author's Note: Short and Sweet, yet funny I know. I may add a second part to this if I get enough reviews. The second part would be Ace confronting Emma about what happened in this part, and just a little FYI that One-Shot would be rated "M" for Mature, if you get my drift~ ;)
