Superboy's teeth ground together, as he hoisted himself onto one arm. Beside him, he could hear Blue Beetle quietly swearing to himself in Spanish. His eyes went straight up, towards where the robot rampaged- the flickering of fires as they began to sprout.

Then, abruptly, a voice spoke. "Yo, you two look like you've had a tough time of it."

Superboy turned with a jerk- A young teenage girl was sitting in a car, watching them with warm eyes. She held a water bottle in one hand, and she easily tossed it towards them. "Catch."

Jamie caught it, and quickly twisted off the top, "Brenda- the robot-"

"No worries, the Posse has it taken care of. Or at least, that's what Paco said."

"Posse?" Conner turned to Jamie, Jamie, catching the look, nodded. He then proceeded to drain half the bottle, before offering the other half. Conner took it, and Jamie took the moment to explain.

"A group of super-meta kids that formed a gang." Superboy spat out what he was drinking. "They're not the strongest, but they should actually happen to take down the robot-"

CLANG!

The sound of wood hitting metal echoed down the street, as the robot began to topple. "Paco got ahold of his stick again?"

"When does he not have it? He's very proud over helping to beat off an alien invasion with it you know." Brenda reached back, and Superboy gaped as she pulled out a gun. "Now then boys, you coming?"

"Hey, whitebread girl! Tell the heroes that they can go home now." A boy holding a wooden stick approached, looking wildly proud of himself. "Me 'n' the posse took care of it."

"What? Paco! But I didn't get too-"

"That's a good thing Brenda. Your aunt would've killed me otherwise." Jamie chipped in.

Brenda looked away, scowling. Superboy knew, even as he opened his mouth, that he would regret the question, but he had to ask. "Who is her aunt?"

Paco and Jamie looked at each other, and back to Brenda, silently asking permission. Brenda sighed. "She's the biggest crime boss around here."

"…Jamie." The teen winced at Superboy's tone. "We need to have a long talk after this."

"Yes." He hung his head. "Knew I should've never joined."

"Dude! I told you before, if you didn't, I was going to steal the bug and go myself." Paco interjected, leaning against his stick. "But if you guys are gonna go, could you take the robot with you? Before the Posse tries to take it apart and sell it for spare parts like the last one?"

"Actually," Jamie muttered, "I think this is the same one, it just… reassembled itself- huh, say what? Oh, it is. It's the same one. So yeah, we'll take it. I mean, there's gotta be a superhero place we can dump it off at, right?"

There were. Several of them in fact, but the fact that Jamie didn't know about them... "Newbies. Don't you ever do the homework?"

"Hey!"

Brenda and Paco laughed, as Jamie took to the skies, heading for where the robot lay prone. Paco reached out, throwing an arm around Superboy's shoulder, "Welcome to El Paso."
