Mike felt the pull of his hand in Miranda's as she tumbles through her joke shop and out the door.
"Look!" she said smiling with her arms open wide she spins around.
He does see it, the clouds were thick white and the first sign of winter was among them. He smiles at her over exuberant childlike dance feeling that his nickname truly fit her.
"Yes, Quirky." He grabs her by the waist and starts to dance with her.
Miranda always notes her firsts with Mike. Knowing how her tiny little friend will find some way to make it sound insulting.
But now wasn't the time to gloat, she was in the middle of dancing in the street with a light flurry surrounding them to a pretend song that played inside her head.
"Marple?"
"Quirky?"
"It's cold."
"That's what happens when it snows."
They turn back inside, now to find her tiny little friend and point out the wonders of dancing in the snow.
