Elsa had left Anna in charge of the kingdom for the day while she went out to the middle of an open field far away from the kingdom to practice her powers. She spotted a rock on the other side of the field and concentrated on just sprinkling a light frost over it. With one tiny push of her palm, the rock had turned into a huge chunk of ice. She slumped her shoulders. Her powers were too strong.

The queen suddenly heard a boyish chuckle out in the distance. She looked in every direction seeing no sign of another life and went back to concentrating sprinkling snow over another rock. Holding out her palm once again, the ice suddenly became thicker.

"You're doing it wrong," the same voice from before told her.

"Who is that?" she frowned as she searched the seemingly empty field.

A whisk of cold wind brushed passed her and took the shape of a boy leaning against the trunk of the tree on a branch. He held a tall thin stick in his hand, grayish blue eyes, white hair (whiter than hers even) and pale skin. He was barefoot and his clothes seemed to be torn to shreds. "Name's Jack," he gave her a cocky grin. He looked over the girl. "And you are…?"

"I am Queen Elsa of Arendelle and if you don't mind-"

"Oh not at all, your majesty," he bowed mockingly. "By all means, entertain me with your clumsiness all you like." He sat down on the branch to watch.

Elsa ignored his rudeness and turned her attention to another boulder. Jack laughed again when she opened her palm. She cringed in annoyance. "Will you-" her anger coursed through her palm and struck the rock until it broke from how dry the ice it became was.

Jack laughed harder. "You're really bad at this, aren't you?"

"You're really annoying, aren't you?" she retorted.

"Nah," he shrugged. "Just cocky. I could teach you if you want."

"What do you know about magic?" she folded her arms.

"Apparently more than you. By the time you're done this place'll be covered in ice."

"Then you try it!" she pointed to another rock. "Sprinkle snow over that without freezing it."

Jack jumped down and bowed. "As you wish, your iceness," he teased. He stuck out his one finger and circled it in the air creating a light snow upon the rock.

Elsa gasped. "H-How did you…?"

"It's easy," he smirked.

"Easy for you…"

"Exactly."

The queen frowned at the ground in annoyance. Why couldn't she do that?

Jack sighed and approached her. "Do you want me to teach you or not?"

Elsa bit her lip, he took that as a prideful yes.

He passed her once again in a gust of wind until he was standing directly behind her and whispered lightly in her ear, causing her to blush. "Just lift up your finger, don't concentrate so hard. Just let it flow from your fingertip." Jack noticed Elsa was just staring at him from over her shoulder and not following instructions. He rolled his eyes and lifted her finger for her and gently brush over the pad. Without Elsa's doing, the snowflakes glided from her fingertip and over the rock.

She gasped. "But… How did I-"

"You weren't thinking so hard. Less pressure."

She beamed as she repeated the process on another rock then another, and another.

"See?"

She spun around to him. "Thank you!" she straightened herself when she realized how giddy she sounded. "Thank you, kind sir," she curtsied.

"It's Jack," he told her casually. "And if you ever need my help again, just call me," his last words before rushing passed her again to leave.

"But- Wait!" she called after him. "How will I know how to-" she sighed knowing he was completely out of hearing range by now.

Jack…What a strange boy.
