A/N: I realize that poetry doesn't get much attention on FanFiction... it rarely does. But I wrote three poems on here, and all of them so far has received positive reviews. So you know what? I'm about to tear it up with this reverse poem. :) Reverse poetry is a form of poetry with the purpose of finding two different meanings, or beliefs to the poem for when you read it forward, and then backward.
If you don't understand, don't worry. I wrote the poem both forward and backward.
I had a hard time writing what point of view I should write this from... but this is pretty much written from a guy's point of view. There's a whole list of guys that she had been with in the WWE, and I'm allowing you to be whatever guy you want it to be. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Kane, John Cena, or Dolph Ziggler. It doesn't matter... just know that this is written in first person point of view.
Last thing, keep in mind, while this is poetry, there is a little bit of a story going on at the same time. If you don't catch on, I'll fill you in on the end. In the meantime, ENJOY! :D
Devil in a White Dress
I was one of the many guys of AJ Lee,
and it's hard to believe that
she's a devil in disguise.
I realize this maybe a shock but
"AJ is crazy"
is a lie, and
"AJ made me happy."
So in the next years I will tell my friends that
she was the right girl for me.
I messed up in thinking
she was something else.
I tell you this
she is pure.
I do not concede that
I was manipulated by her.
It is evident
we could be together again.
It is foolish to presume that
I was stupid.
And all of this would be a lie... unless we reverse it to face the brutal truth.

A/N: Will you look at that? Here I was thinking that I would take for-freaking-ever to write this, and now here I am... 2:00 in the morning, my mind exploding with fireworks, and fingers numb from typing this all from out of my head. The story I mentioned earlier... it's in the forward version of the poem. If you realized how I kept using 'was' in the forward version of the poem, and wanted to know why? it's because the story of it was basically that this 'man' just came out of a relationship with AJ. He seems oblivious as to why it ended, [it's not mentioned here, but to me it's a lil' because he sounds a lil' bit in denial] He thinks he still has a chance with her even though she broke it off... it was only where we get to the backward version of the poem where the 'man' realizes he's been manipulated by her, and played by her in whatever game she was playing.
Pretty freakin' neat though right? I didn't think I was capable of writing reverse poetry, and thought of it being cool to read... but like I said, it can be a little difficult to write, as this isn't ANY kind of free verse poetry. This kind of poetry, has to follow some kind of a format. And I must say, if you like writing poetry... Do not attempt. I'm saving yourself from massive headaches, my friends. You'll thank me later.
