The Doctor looked at the door with the number 11 on it; carefully he reached out and turned the knob. Even though he knew he shouldn't, curiosity got the better of him, what could his nightmares be?
The room was dark; he peered in trying to focus his eyes. He could make out shadows: a table, a chair, the bed. Suddenly something shifted on the bed.
The Doctor's brow furrowed as he tried to make out who was on the bed. He could make out the shadowy forms of a young woman in a nightgown sleeping next to a man. The man had his arms wrapped around her protectively.
The Doctor frown, they looked familiar, but he couldn't quite make out who they were. The women shifted slightly again letting the light from the hall cascade across her face. The Doctor winced. 'Rose'.
The Doctor's mouth went dry; of course something like this would be his nightmare no matter how much he tried to forget her. Rose with the half human half Doctor, Rose there but just out of his reach, another man protecting her where he had failed, those would always be his nightmares.
Rose left hand moved slightly to rest on the half human half Doctor's hand; a piece of metal on her ring finger caught the light.
"Of course it would be you," the Doctor whispered. He closed the door and placed the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up.

a/n: yeah I know sad, I don't like writing sad, but I just saw 'The god Complex' last night. And since they didn't show us The Doctor's nightmare, this is what I think he saw, or something similar. Okay now I need to go eat ice cream, chocolate, strawberries, and every other sweet I can think of, I am so depressed right now :`(
a/n2: I don't know if you actually find out what the Doctor's nightmare really is. I've only seen up to 'The god Complex'
