Prolouge:

"No! Wait, don't!" cried out a desperate Rose.

Rose and her little brother, Sparrow, were on a mysterious platform in Fairfax Castle, which was just outside their home, Bowerstone Old Town. After the two had purchased a music box for five gold, which they obtained by doing deeds around their village.

After they had followed the instructions and made their wish, the music box disappeared. Rose had wished to live in the Castle. Later that night, guards called them over and escorted them to Fairfax Gardens, where the Castle was.

Lucien, with a firm frown on his face muttered a half-hearted apology and pulled the trigger. A bullet sliced through Sparrow's chest. He was dead. Rose's eyes were now home to sadness, for they were glimmering with tears,

"You monster!" Rose shouted. "You killed him!"

"I did what had to be done," explained Lucien. "I can't allow you to live either. I'm sorry."

He pulled the trigger, and a bullet came out faster than lightning. Rose was sent flying out of the castle; she crashed through a window, glass landing everywhere. Rose hit the roof of a building twice, and landed on hard pavement. Certainly, she was dead. How could any human being survive such a fall?

But Rose was no ordinary human being.

Her newly adopted mutt strolled over to her body. He sniffed her hand, which flinched ever so slightly. The dog happily licked it. A figure, who was wearing a red cloak, walked over to Rose and said to her, "Death is not your destiny today, Rose."

Lucien disappeared from Castle Fairfax that night, certain that those who might stand in his way were dead. But some grief is so great, even death may keep its distance; and so the girl survived. Days later, far from the dark alleys of Bowerstone, life slowly returned to the young girl's broken body.

The girl awoke to a strange watching over a strange bed. She reached out for the dog's warm fur, ready to take her first steps of a new life.

Ten winters blanketed Albion, ten summers filled the air with sounds of insects and laughter. With time the girls pain turned to strength and her pain became will, a will to change the world and avenge the death that still haunted her every dream.

Yeah, I'll only continue this story if you guys want me to. Anyway, I got this idea while I was playing Fable II for about the thousandth time. It came to me when Lucien said that they were heroes, and since they are both related to William Black, that means they both have the potential to be heroes.

Don't worry, Rose will not be a mute like her brother/sister. Oh, and just for continuity's sake, the Bowerstone Old Town in this universe is under Arfur's rule.
