Rikku woke up in her bed aboard the Celsius and it had been a couple of months since the defeat of Vegnagun. Nothing had been happening in Spira ever since that day. Rikku was tired of the boredom she always had so she decided to go on the deck to look at the view. As she headed towards the lift she bumped into an old friend that had returned after Vegnagun was defeated.
"Hey, Rikku man it's been a while since we have talked," Tidus said with a smile.
Rikku just looked at the blond teen and said, "Well, I don't blame ya. You've been spending so much time with Yunie."
"Yeah, I know," he said as he started to walk towards Rikku, "Which brings a question into my mind. Is there someone out there in Spira that you feel special around?"
"…I dunno…" was all Rikku could say while she was blushing wildly. Tidus chuckled as he saw the Al Bhed turn redder by the second.
"It's that Gippal guy isn't it," Tidus asked already knowing the answer. Rikku just walked away from the conversation and headed for the lift. Tidus tried to go and catch her, but the lift doors closed in his face. 'Eh… I'll leave her alone for now,' he thought to himself while heading for the bed to sleep.

Gippal was walking through Djose Temple to see if the progress of his Machine Faction has grown. "C'mon people you gotta work harder if you want that break," he said full of frustration that his workers were causing him, "Oui baubma yna sygehk drec ryntan dryh ed ryc du," he said as he took over a worker's job because he was not doing it the way he wanted it.
"Cen drana ec cusauha fedr dra hysa uv Baralai uidceta du caa oui," a messenger said to him.
Gippal looked up from what he was doing and said, "Alright, I'll be right there." He shoved the took back into the worker's hand and ordered him to do it the way he had showed him. He then stepped out of the temple to greet his good friend Baralai. "Well, if isn't this a small world. What brings you to the Machine Faction Baralai," he asked with a sign of relief to see a friend's face after a couple of months.
"Well actually I came here to tell you that Paine and I are having a four month anniversary party coming up and we were wondering if you could come," Baralai said without any hesitation at all. Gippal stood there with his arms crossed and thought for a moment.
They stood there for a couple of minutes until he said, "Alright I guess I can go. Nhadala can take over things here for me while I'm gone."
"OK nice to hear. Paine is telling the people aboard the Celsius via commsphere so that guarantees that Rikku will be there," Baralai said with a big smile on his face.
Gippal just looked at him with a weird look and said, "Yeah ok. Why would I care anyway its not like I have this thing for her anyway," Baralai laughed while Gippal just looked at him. This party was going to be a good one.
