Nick got ready for his day, just like he had every day since she was demoted and transferred. Only this time it would be different. This time he was going in as his undercover self, the cop who's pissed off and just wanted to teach the station a lesson. He remembers the talk Olivia and him had. She told him this could be a way to get him back in, but he didn't care. Of course he missed SVU and everyone there, but this was what he made of himself. He needed to figure things out before he jump back into the thing that led him down this path. He was always willing to help out Olivia; she was his partner and someone he cared about. Now she had baby Noah to take care of and he would do whatever he needed to do to help her out. Partners stick together. She had always been there for him; he was going to be damn sure he was always there for her. He told her he'd do this for her… and for Noah, not for the job.
As he walked out of the bedroom finished getting ready there on the table behind his couch was the picture of Olivia and Noah he had added to his collection of Zara and Gill images. The image was of Olivia sitting on the couch holding Noah with their head touching. He thought it was a touch and beautiful photo of the two of them. He had to keep telling himself he was doing this for them. Not because he needed the reminder, but because he needed to make sure he had that touch to keep him grounded. He didn't want to risk getting sucked into this undercover assignment to deep and not being able to find a way out. He was in enough trouble as it was; he didn't need anymore, so they were what were going to keep him in check. He put on his hat and headed out of his place. He knew this was going to be the start to another long assignment. He just hoped that it made a difference and that it helped Olivia and Noah. Olivia deserved this chance and he was going to do whatever he could to help her.
AN: It's short and was supposed to be sweet. So the photo of Olivia and Noah on the couch, the one where Olivia is in the pick shirt. Totally can picture that being on Nick's mantel or something. That he has this picture of her and Noah. Then again it's the Bensaro Fan in me. So this I just decided to add together the sneak peek, that was never actually in the show, with Nick having that photo. Kind of wanted to make it longer, but wasn't sure what else to put. But here it is.
