WHAT ARE WE??
It's just a pretty normal evening when Lucy Heartfilia is having her usual strawberry milkshake at her favourite cafe, Love and Lucky. Sitting with her is her pettite blunette friend, Levy McGarden as they keep talking about their favourite books. They both love to read which is also the reason how they can get along very well since the first time they met at school.
"I've been thinking for a while, Lu-chan... " Levy suddenly says after their long period of reading silently, making the blonde to shot her a questioning look while raising her eyebrows.
"What is it, Levy-chan?" She asks and put her novel down while her hand reaches for her half-empty glass of strawberry milkshake and takes a big gulp of it. Her brown eyes never leave her friend's as she's been waiting for her to continue.
"Are you dating Natsu?"
With that, Lucy's eyes goes wide in shock as she chokes on her drink after that ridiculous question being asked. She begins to cough wildly until her head hurts and tears practically formed on the edges of her eyes. She takes a glance at everyone in the cafe who give her a weird looks before turning her eyes to her friend who is giving her a boring, 'are-you-done?' look.
"Did she think I'm joking here?"
She needs to get a new friend.
After a while, she finally manages to calm down and take a breath properly as she wipes her lips with a napkin.
"What was that, Levy-chan?!" She hissed out of embarrassment at the girl.
"Answer my question." She says bluntly as if the scene where the blonde was almost choked to death doesn't happen at all.
"I'm not dating Natsu, okay?!" Lucy finally gives her the answer, feeling irritated. "W-what give you that idea, anyway?" She mutters, feeling her cheeks burn at the mention of the male's name. Seeing this, Levy smirks.
"Well, cause I'm pretty sure that I saw him kissed you on Erza's birthday party last week." She raises one of her eyebrows. "After the party ended, I saw you guys kissing in the kitchen, or is it just my imagination?"
"You-you saw that?" Lucy asks in horror as her eyes go wide.
"Oh, so you're not denying that you guys just kissed?" Levy smirks with glint of satisfaction in her eyes which catches the blonde off of her guards.
"I-it was an accident!! We didn't mean that to happen!! I mean, we DID kiss that time but we're not dating, okay?!" Lucy snaps and crosses her arms against her chest, huffing.
"Well, not yet." Levy replies, the smug grin never leave her face.
"Can we stop talking about that? I'll never date Natsu. He's my best friend, after all and that's just... weird." Lucy mutters under her breath while her hand keep tugging the hem of her blue skirts.
"Actually.. you do have a point there." Levy says with her pointer finger pointed at Lucy.
"What?"
"I mean, you and Natsu barely have boundaries between each others. I heard that you guys even sleep in a same bed so I think kissing each others is not really a big deal, isn't it?" Levy opens her neglected book as she gets to her conclusion of the issue they discussed about.
"Wait! You're getting a wrong point, here! I've told you that the kiss was an accident and it's not like I want him to sleep in the same bed as me! He's the one who keep barging into my room!"
"But you still DID kissed Natsu and slept with him."
The blonde groans in frustration as she plops herself on the comfy chair and rolls her eyes. There's no way to stop Levy with her teasings. And Lucy is so sick of explaining.
She really needs to tell Natsu to stop doing that.
Her mind starts to remember about how this problem started.
Flashback
"Natsu, truth or dare?" Cana asked lazily as she took a big gulps of beer. They were having a sleepover at Strauss family's house that night and played the infamous Truth or Dare game to kill the time.
"Wait, we're still playing? I thought this game is over." Natsu shrugged as his finger scrolled down on his phone.
"Yeah, they're all sleeping already." Lucy said as she eyed Gray, Juvia, Erza, Levy, Gajeel and the Strauss siblings who were sleeping soundly, leaving just the three of them who were still awake.
"Damn, I didn't even notice them." Cana said as her head kept swaying around, she's obviously drank a lot this time. "This is the last one, then. Let's make it fast. Natsu, truth or dare?" She asked again.
"Dare." Natsu answered as lazy as the brunette cause he was also tired since they had played the game for almost an hour already.
"Man, I've been hoping you'll say truth. I can't think of any good dare right now." Cana mumbled, quirking her brows before her gaze landed on the blonde who yawned, looked obviously sleepy.
Lucy on the other hand saw the brunette looking at her and she instantly had a bad feeling about the gaze that the drunken woman gave her.
"I'll give you an easy one, then. Go kiss Lucy."
Lucy's eyes went wide and all the sleepiness were gone from her eyes. How was that an EASY one?!
"W-what? Don't use me in the dare!" She stammered as dark blush coated her pale face. Her eyes immediately moved to her best friend to see his reaction but he just got a boring expression plastered on his face.
"A dare is a dare, baby. C'mon hurry up! I'm watching." Cana snickered while resting her head on her knuckle, clearly looked like she's been forcing her eyes to stay opened. There's a few of empty beer bottles rolling by her side. She's totally drunk so she couldn't be serious with what she said, right? Or that's what Lucy hoped.
"She asked Natsu to kiss me? How stupid was that? There's no way he would-"
"Lucy." She snapped out of her thought as the pink-haired boy breathed beside her ear, making her flinched and shrieked. When did he even got this close? On her instinct, she turned her head to the boy until her brown orbs met his hazel coloured pupils that were staring intently at her.
"W-what are you doing?" Surprisingly, she managed to speak despite of her body became so tense as she felt his sharp gaze digging a hole through her skull. Not to mention, his face was also too close with hers now that her heart couldn't stop beating as if it'll break her rib cage any second.
"The dare." He simply answered.
"Wait, y-you can't be serious, right?" She put both of her hands between them, hoping that they'll stop him from leaning any closer than he's already was but her attempt was fruitless. He just simply leaned more toward her, closing the remaining gap between them until his warm forehead touched hers. Her body tensed even more when she saw his half-lidded eyes staring lazily at her. It looked like he's also a little tipsy because of the alcohol he consumed earlier.
"It's just a kiss. It's not like we're gonna die or anything." He mumbled as his right hand move upward to cup her flushing cheek and brought his thumb to caress her lower lip. She's practically out of breath now that Natsu kept pushing her body until she sank deeper into the couch. Slowly, Natsu tilted his head to the side and the only thing left was to lean just a little bit closer until his warm lips finally would meet hers.
As he started to lean in, a sound of someone snoring made he stopped midway on his track. With their eyes wide-opened, both Natsu and Lucy turned their head to see Cana who had her head on floor, sleeping peacefully.
It's over... right?
Lucy let out a shaky breath as she sighed in relief. Now that Cana wasn't looking, there's no need for him to complete the dare right? Man, she really thought that she's going to be kissed by her own best friend just now. She couldn't help but to think about how ridiculous and awkward that'll be. Also, she didn't want to have her first kiss taken because of a stupid dare.
Speaking of dare...
Why haven't Natsu let go of her yet? She realised that she's still trapped with his body hovering on top of hers. She looked back at him just to see that he's been staring at her again.
"Uh, Natsu? Cana's sleeping so can you get off from me already? The dare's over." Lucy said as her hands gripped on his shirt as an attempt to push him away. But he didn't even budge. She kept wondering what the hell was wrong with him as she broke an eye-contact to dart her gaze to his nose, moved to the scar on his cheek, to his slightly parted lips, and finally back to his green eyes.
"I still wanna try." He finally said.
"W-what?" That's the only thing she manage to say before he smashed his lips on hers. Lucy's eyes went wide as she was dumbfounded at his action. Her grip on his shirt was tighten as he cupped her cheeks with both of his hands now and that managed to let him deepen the kiss. She felt his lips was soft and warm despite of him being a little too rough that her eyes almost rolled to the back.
A few moments later, he broke the kiss leaving both of them panting heavily due to the lack of oxygen. Her face was now flushed and her lips were all swollen because of the kiss. They stayed in the position for a few seconds, just to observe each other faces without any words spoken. The only sounds that Lucy could hear were their heavy breathings and some light snores of their sleeping friends. Lucy also saw a tint of blush coated his cheeks and wondered if that's because of the kiss or he's just simply drunk?
Her hands slowly slid upward and she used all the energy she could muster to shove his face away from her. Natsu was finally sat far enough from her personal bubble so she brought herself to a proper sitting position. She balled her hands into a tight fists, still not looking at the man.
She wanted to say something. She wanted to get mad at him. She wanted to know why he kissed her. She wanted to speak. But she couldn't say any words as if all the vocabularies in her minds went missing.
So she just simply stood up without looking at the male and made her way toward Lisanna's bedroom which was the nearest from the packed living room. She didn't want to sleep in the living room with all of her other friends tonight. To be exact, she didn't want to see Natsu's face after what he had done.
She needed some time to be alone.

When they woke up the next day, Cana asked them if they had really complete the dare but most to Lucy's surprise, Natsu said no. She assumed that Natsu also took that kiss as an accident because of his drunken state last night that he couldn't think straight of his actions.
A part of Lucy was relieved that he decided to keep it a secret but another part of her was a little disappointed that he made it as if the kiss didn't mean anything to him at all.
After all, just what kind of person kiss a girl just because 'he wanted to try?' That's a fucking stupid reason. He's such a stupid.
But for the rest of the day, Natsu's behaviour around her was still his same goofy self who likes to tease and annoy her. He talked to her casually as if the moment he kissed her last night was just a part of a dream. Lucy assumed that he probably didn't remember it since he was pretty drunk that time or maybe... he just pretended to forget about it so it won't be awkward between both of them. And thanks goodness, it worked. Lucy knew that this was for the best for the both of them. She's also wanted to try and forget.
About how her first kiss was stolen by her own best friend.
She decided that's gonna be their first and last kiss.
Yet, she was wrong.
About two days later, the same Natsu Dragneel had took her second kiss when he barged into her room. And he's not even drunk this time which meant he's totally did it on purpose. Except for this time the kiss was kinda quicker than the last time which was longer and more intense. But just like the last one, Lucy couldn't bring herself to ask him why he kiss her or even say a single word because after he gave her a quick peck on her lips, he dashed out from her room just to act normally in front of her on the next day.
As if the kiss didn't happen.
The same thing happened when he stole her third kiss.
And fourth.
Even fifth.
And that's also includes the moment he kissed her after Erza's birthday party. She lied to Levy. The kiss wasn't actually an accident instead it happened on purpose. To be exact, on Natsu's own purpose.
Flashback ended
Lucy really has lost count of the kisses they've shared. And she's still confuse. Her own best friend keeps kissing her lips almost everyday yet she can't even try to stop him. Or does she's actually doesn't mind to be kissed by him? Does she enjoys to be kissed by Natsu?
To be honest, she admit it herself that Natsu is actually very good looking. He never fail to make her heart skip a beat every time he gives her that signature grin of his, or every time he tuck her hair at the back of her ear, or when his lips slowly touches her-
No.
She can't let this happened anymore. She realises that every time they share a kiss, her heart beats unbelievably faster and she felt her stomach flutters with his feathery touch on her. But still, they're best friends for god's sake! She doesn't want to get caught kissing with him by the rest of their friends and make them to get the wrong idea just like Levy.
So no matter what, she needs to tell Natsu to stop kissing her.

"See you tomorrow." Lucy says as she reaches her doorstep and waves her hand to her blue-haired friend while the girl waves back at her.
When Levy's small figure already out of her sight, the blonde let out a sigh that she doesn't even realise had been held for a while. Her mind instantly drifted back to their conversation at the cafe earlier.
"How should I tell Natsu about it?" She muttered under her breath. After all, she never manage to mention at him anything about all the kisses they've shared as she was scared that it'll get awkward and affect their friendship. She doesn't even has any idea about why he kiss her, either.
There's no way that he likes her, right?
Or...
He probably just gets sexually frustrated, isn't it? Well, he never has a girlfriend even though he's so popular at school. That's mean, he probably only uses her to satisfy his inner desire. That's may be a possible answer to this.
Well, he did said that 'he wanna try' on their first kiss, right? So that's it.
Tch, idiot.
Why does she feels sad, now?
She let out another sigh before entering her house.
"I wanna take a bath." She said to herself but as she walks across her kitchen, she stops on her track. She took a glance at her fridge and realisation hits her.
She just remembers something.
"My ice-cream!" She squeals as she remembers her mint flavoured ice-cream with chocolate chips that she bought yesterday. She never get the chance to eat her favourite ice-cream as she's too busy with her homework last night.
She practically skips in excitement toward the pink coloured fridge and opened it. Then, her eyes go wide in horror. Her ice-cream's...
...gone!!!!
"Wait, I'm pretty sure I put it in the fridge yesterday.." She mumbled as she checks every part of the large fridge. Well, where else would you put your ice-cream? In the microwave? If it isn't in the fridge, that's mean...
"Don't tell me..." She mumbled before making her way toward her room on the second floor. Without wasting any second, she grabs the doorknob and opens her bedroom's door, revealing a certain pink-haired boy who had been lingering on her mind the whole day lying casually on her bed with an ice-cream container in his hands.
"NATSU!!!" She yells in pure rage as she walks toward him and mentally sighs in relief to see that he hasn't even eat half of the ice-cream yet.
"Yo, Lucy!" He grins while waving at her using the spoon that he used to scoop the ice-cream from the container. She stops when she's just a few steps left toward her bed to eye the grinning boy. He wore a black tight and a dark red hoodie along with his usual white scarf wrapped around his neck. She gulps. Is it just her or Natsu looks really good in those clothes today? She can feel her cheeks burn before she shakes the thought off her head.
"Why are you eating my ice-cream?" She said as she crosses her arms against her chest, sounds clearly annoyed. Yet, the cheeky grin on the boy's face doesn't fade a bit.
"Well, you're taking such a long time to come home so I got hungry." He answered right away, as if it is the most obvious answer in the world.
"Then, what are you doing here? I've told you to stop barging into my house." She asks as she takes a seat on the bed as far as she can from him.
"What else? I came to mess with you, Luce." He laughs as Lucy face palms herself.
"Of course you do.." She mutters.
"By the way, what's with your weird taste for ice-cream? Mint flavoured? Seems like the flavour that Ice-prick would choose." He said as he eyed every corner of the ice-cream container before Lucy snatches it away from him, scowling.
"Nobody ask you to eat it! And it's not weird, it's actually tasty!" She said as she scoops the green coloured ice-cream and plops it into her mouth. She moans in delight as the substance melt on her tastebuds.
"It tastes like your lip-gloss." He said bluntly.
"Lip-gloss?" Lucy looks at him in confusion but her face instantly turns as red as tomato when she realises what he means by that. She can't help but feels flustered thinking of the fact that Natsu has been tasting her peppermint lip-gloss that she always put on when he kissed her.
Why does he so suddenly mention about their kisses? It makes her unable to sit still around him. She doesn't even has the courage to look at him in the eyes now. What the hell is wrong with him, talking about that so casually? Doesn't he even notice how much it affects her?
She hates herself for blushing so easily over something so simple.
She shoves another spoonful into her mouth, hoping that the coldness of the ice-cream will manage to reduce the burning of her face or even slow the pace of her heartbeat right now.
Since she's too busy shoving ice-cream into her mouth, she doesn't even realise how her bed creaks as the pink-haired boy shifts himself to sit closer to the blushing blonde. She's finally notices his presence when his hand takes a grip of the ice-cream container and pulls it out of her grasp. He then places it on the desk near her bed with a loud bang. Looking at her now empty hands, she turns her head sideway just to see that Natsu's face just centimetres away from hers. The blush instantly returns to her face once again.
"W-what's wrong?" No matter how much she hopes that her voice doesn't crack, it does. She mentally curses her throat for betraying her. Natsu doesn't answer her question instead he just continues to stare into her brown orbs which makes her more nervous than before.
Slowly, she watches as how his gaze moves downward from her eyes toward her lips. Unconsciously, she bites her lower lip and that happens to make the male growls slightly.
"You.. got some ice-cream at the side of your lips." He finally breaks the silent but that doesn't make Lucy feel any better as he started to lean in toward her face. There's no mistaking it! He's going to kiss her again! She...she needs to stop him!
"Oh, is it?" Lucy says abruptly as she quickly wipes the cream off of her mouth with the back of her hand. She notices that Natsu has stopped midway on his track, probably doesn't expect her to do that. Lucy laughs nervously, trying not to make the situation more awkward than it already is. "Thanks for telling me, Natsu. Man, I'm so clumsy." She continues to laugh and mentally curse at how fake that laugh sounds.
"Yeah, you're welcome." He mumbles as he slowly retreats from her personal bubble, allowing her to breath normally again.
Is it just her imagination or Natsu actually looks a little disappointed just now? She suddenly feels uneasy. Did he really want to kiss her that bad?
But no matter what, she had made a right decision to shove him off. She shouldn't let him get too used on kissing her. After all, he only kisses her because he got sexually frustrated, right?
There's no way it is because he has a feeling for her.
They're best friends, after all.
"Say, Natsu..." She finally breaks the super awkward silent between them. He took a glance toward her before she continues. "What are we?"
Natsu looks dumbfounded.
"What?" He asks back, clearly doesn't understand.
"No, I mean, what am I... to you?" She asks again, hopefully that he'll get the idea this time and she believes that he did, seeing how his eyebrows furrow showing that he's thinking for the answer.
"You're my best friend." He answers. Lucy bites her lower lip again, wondering why does her chest feels hurt even though she has been expecting that answer from him. She takes another breath.
"Exactly. And that's why I want you to stop doing that."
"Doing what?"
"You know what I mean!"
"What do you mean?"
"Seriously?!"
"What the hell are you talking about, weirdo?!"
"Damn it, Natsu!" She groans in frustration before she finally snaps. "I mean, you should stop kissing me! You said it yourself that I'm your best friend and best friends don't kiss each other, get it? You're not only stole my first kiss but you also kiss me almost everyday and I don't even know why you did that! If you're sexually frustrated then don't use me to satisfy you! I don't want our friends to get the wrong idea and I don't want it to be awkward between us! Just... stop, okay?" She breaths heavily after her outburst and feels some tears brimming on the edge of her eyes.
Mustering all the courage she has, she takes a look at Natsu to look at his reaction just to see that the pink-haired boy wears an indescribable expression on his face. She can't tell what is his emotion that time. It's just... blank.
"Geez, what the hell's wrong with you?" She mutters angrily as she grits her teeth and clenches both of her fists tightly.
"Now that you know it, get out of my house! I need to take a bath!" She said irritatedly as she gets off the bed to head toward her bathroom but a hand suddenly takes a hold of her wrist to stop her from walking any further. She gasps as the same hand tugs her wrist until she fell backward, making her butt lands on the previous spot she sat earlier.
"N-Natsu?" She asks as he tightens his grip on her wrist, hard enough to make her winces. Did he mad?
"Natsu, what's wrong?" She never able to get the answer when she feels his warm lips suddenly pressed on top of hers. Her eyes go wide and on an instinct, she backs away and breaks the kiss instantly.
"H-hey! Don't you get what I've just told yo-" Her words was cut when he smashes his lips on hers again while his right hand wrapped around her thin waist while he rest the other one at the back of her neck, effectively deepen the kiss. Lucy's body is still stiff as she is totally shocks by his action.
With her strength, she put both of her hands on his chest and pushes him away and takes the chance to take a breath. But she instantly regrets her action when she sees anger flickers in the boy's eyes.
"Natsu, please listen to me-"
"Shut up." He growls before taking both of her wrists in his big hands and pins them above her head. With his body weight, he pushes the blonde until she's lying flat on the mattress while he's hovering over her small body. Without waiting any second, his mouth is back on hers. Lucy's hands keep squirming around to escape his deadly grip but there's no point of it. The way he told her to shut up earlier and the way he holds her wrists giving a silent message for her not to fight back. So eventually, she gives up on her attempt to release herself and just let the man devours her already swollen lips. She can feel that he smirks against her lips the moment she had stopped struggling.
She really hates that smirk as she knows that he's planning on something.
And her thought was right when she feels him licking her lower lips which makes her gasps in shock. He takes the opportunity to insert his tongue inside of her mouth and her eyes are wide when she feels his tongue dangling with hers inside. Unintentionally, a throaty moan escapes from her lips and her cheeks get redder as she feels so embarrassed because of it. This sensation feels totally new to her cause even with all the kisses they've shared before, they have never get this far. Her heartbeat pace keep increasing and her stomach keeps hurling as if there are thousands of butterflies fluttering inside. After that, she totally doesn't expect herself to unconsciously kisses the boy back. She starts to move her own tongue, sliding it against Natsu's hot one. She doesn't know what has gotten into her or where does she gets this courage from but everything just feel so right. It feels so right to kiss Natsu.
When it feels like minutes has passed, he finally breaks the kiss, leaving both of them breathing heavily with flushed cheeks.
Lucy is speechless. Just a few moments ago, she told him to stop kissing her and a few seconds later he kissed her again. She really doesn't get it at all.
She feels one of his hands leave her pinned wrist and moves to brush some of her blond hair from her face as he gazes at her with half-lidded eyes. Slowly, he rests his forehead on top of hers.
"I don't get it." He breaths, giving her a questioning look.
"W-what?" She breaths back.
"Why would you want me to stop doing that... when you're clearly enjoys it yourself." He says with his cocky grin plastered on his handsome face. A huge tick mark appears on her head as she finally manage to shove him off of her body.
"You jerk! You're the one who kiss me on force! And what do you mean that I enjoyed it?!" She yells but his smirk never gone.
"Do you really need a proof? You just kissed me back." He snickered as he easily catches the pillow that's being thrown at him by the flustered blonde.
"S-shut up! And what the hell is wrong with your ears?! Did you even listen to what I've said? I've told you to sto-"
"Don't wanna." He cut her.
"H-huh?"
"I don't want to stop. I want to kiss you." He says with a serious face, his eyes never leave her brown orbs. Lucy blinks a few times, wondering how he can be so direct about that.
"Why?" Lucy finally asks the question that has been lingering in her mind since the very first time he kissed her. After hearing the question, Natsu averts his gaze on the floor and let out a sigh while scratching the back of his neck.
"Beats me. I don't even know why. Since the dare- wait, it wasn't even a dare.. I mean, since I first kiss you that night, I just.. feel like I want to kiss you again.. and again. I know I kinda sound like a creep right now but it just happened, okay? It feels like I got addicted-"
"Wait, so you did remember what happened that night yet you still can act so normally toward me the day after?" Lucy interrupts his words just to earn a scowl from him.
"Can you just fucking let me finish? Of course I do remember what happened cause after all, I'm not even that drunk that night. And yes, I just pretended to be normal the next day because I didn't want it to be awkward between us! I'm scared that you'll go far away from me so that's why I decided to let both of us to think that the kiss was just an accident. But two days later, I just got a sudden urge to kiss you again and I did it. Well of course, I got all freaked out to know your reaction so I ran away and decided to put on a normal face around you again on the next day. I tried to forget about all of it but the next thing I know, I kissed you again. No matter how I told myself to stop, I just can't, okay? That's why I kept stealing kisses from you whenever I got the chance." He pauses and takes a deep breath before continuing. "But now, I think I finally know what the reason is."
Lucy's breath hitches as she hears the last sentence. With a cracking voice, she asks. "What is it?"
"I like you, Lucy." He said as his gaze returns to hers. The blonde's eyes are wide and her lips slightly opened but no word come out of it. Although she thinks that her face can't get any redder than it already is, it actually burns a lot more hotter than before.
"W-what are you talking about..." She mutters under her breath, looking away from him.
"I said I like you." He repeats.
"I heard you on the first time!!"
"I like you." He said it again, totally makes her speechless again. Being so flustered of his confession, she unconsciously bites her lower lip and she heard a low growl escapes from his mouth.
"You need to stop doing that or I'll pin you on your bedpost." He warns with stern voice that sends a chill down to her spine, making her shudders. She immediately releases her bottom lip.
"But it was just so sudden... for you to say that you like me... I mean, we've been best friends for such a long time, and-" Her sentences stop midway as he places a finger on her mouth.
"You're such a weirdo, Luce." He chuckles. "If that worries you a lot, let's just stop being friends, then." He says as he moves his hand from her lips to take a hold of her chin and pull it upward, forcing her to face him.
"What do you mean?"
"You can be my girlfriend, Lucy." He said huskily as he brings his mouth to her ear. "So I can kiss you anytime I want." He breathed and it send a chill down to her spine.
"B-but, I n-never said that I like you back!" She stammered, holding both of his shoulders to push him away from her.
"Really?" He smirks.
"Of course!" She yells back, puffing her cheeks.
"Why don't we just figure it out, then?" He says as he stands, towering her with his height, his gaze never leave hers.
"Figure out wha- HIEEKKK!!!" She shrieks as he pulls her up by her collar, making her to stands so close to him that their chests are now pressed against each other.
"What are you feeling right now, Luce?"
"Annoyed." She says bluntly and Natsu almost laugh at her answer.
"How about now?" He whispers as his right hand wraps around her waist, while he put the other one at the back of her head to let his fingers tangled in her blond locks as he pulls her closer to him.
As he does that, it feels like he just pressed the button which makes her face starts to blush a dark shade of red again. Feeling embarrassed, she immediately avoids from looking at him right in the eyes. Natsu chuckled again.
"That's a good sign." He thinks.
"Look at me, Lucy." He commands and she obeys, bringing her gaze back to his burning eyes.
"Now tell me... did your heart beats wildly when I hold you this close?" He asks and presses their chests together firmly. Letting out a light sigh, Lucy nods.
"It does." She answers honestly.
Natsu gives her a soft smile and moves his hand from the back of her head to cup her cheek. His thumb caresses her burning cheek gently. He leans a little closer to rest his forehead against her. "And now? Do you have a strange a feeling in your tummy?"
Unable to answer, she gives him another nod. The boy licks his lips.
"Me too." He says before diving in to claim her lips again and this time, Lucy gladly kisses him back with a similar force. She brings her hands up to bury them in his thick pink locks, pulling him closer. She lets out a sigh against his lips, loving the way they fit perfectly on her plump one.
So many kisses in a day... she's not even sure if she can take it anymore.
As they pulls out, Lucy immediately buries her face at the crook of his neck and her nose catches the smell of his usual cologne. She sighs. She really loves that smell.
"I guess you're right, Natsu." She whispers.
"Hmm?"
"I do like you."
He chuckles.
"Silly, I knew that since the moment you kiss me back." Natsu replies and he feels the blonde smiles against his neck.
"I'm such a dense, for not realising it sooner." She giggles.
"I would say the same to myself." He says as he pushes her a little to look into her eyes. "I guess the 'best friend' title is totally gets in our way, huh?"
He takes another breath.
"Listen, I really love you, Lucy. I'm not telling this just because I want to kiss you but... I really love you because you're Lucy. Being your best friend for such a long time makes me realised that you means a lot to me. You're pretty, nice, weird.. and I just really love everything about you. So, Lucy please... go out with me." He confesses honestly. The blonde smiles brightly as tears start to form on the edge of her eyes.
"Of course, dummy. I love you too." She replies, making him grins.
"ALL RIGHT!!" He exclaims as he wraps his arms around her waist and throws both of their bodies onto the bed. She squeals as her body hits the soft surface of the mattress and opens her eyes to see Natsu grinning at her, his arms never leave her waist while he entagles their legs together.
"Wha-what do you think you're doing?!" She asks.
"Wanna sleep."
"In MY bed?!"
"Well, it's not like we haven't done it before. Also, we're dating already, so what's the big deal?" He mumbles in sleepiness as he pulls the girl closer to rest his chin on the top of her head.
"Why are you bringing that up, now?! But still, NO!! You're not sleeping here so you better let me go now, Natsu Dragneel!!!!" She squirms to release herself which pisses Natsu off.
"Fine, I'll leave!! Just... once more." He says before giving a quick peck on her lips. Then, he releases the blushing blonde from his grasp and makes his way toward the window.
"See ya tomorrow, Luce!"
"Use the damn door!" She yells while her face is still red because of the previous kiss.
"Oh, one more thing, Lucy..." He turns back at her slightly when he reached the windowsill.
"W-what now?"
"Now that we're officially dating, does that means that we can do... that?" He asks, smirking. Lucy just blinks in confusion, raising one of her eyebrows.
"Do what?"
"Y'know... sex?"
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE, YOU PERVERT!!!!" She screams on the top of her lungs as she throws a pillow at him which he easily dodges before he jumps out through her window, chuckling.
"That idiot.." Lucy mutters and let out another sigh. She has some explaining to be done to Levy tomorrow.
In the end, her unfinished ice-cream is all melted.
