Late

Louis slammed his hands against the steering wheel in frustration. Why had he decided that it would be a good idea to drive to his interview like a muggle instead of apparating?

Of all the days for there to be the biggest blizzard in over a decade, it just had to be today, he thought bitterly as he turned the heating up in his car.

Honestly muggles cannot predict the weather, he mused as he thought back to the forecast the night before that has explicitly stated to expect nothing more than a flurry of light snow.

"Does this look like light snow to you Ophelia Bloodworth?" Louis said sarcastically.

Louis glanced at the clock on the dashboard of his car, and noticed that it read, 15:07. His interview was in less than ten minutes, and if he didn't get there on time he would have zero chance of getting another opportunity to work for such a prestigious firm.

Realising that the only avenue of reaching his destination on time was to use magic, Louis snatched his bag from the back seat of his car, and emptied the contents onto the passenger seat.

Chewing gum, comb, cigarettes, apple, crisps and a couple of dung bombs all got discarded on to the back seat of the car as Louis searched for his wand.

He was sure that he had placed it in his bag this morning before his mother had called him downstairs to wish him luck. Or maybe he had intended to when he returned and had forgotten as he was in such a hurry.

Louis ran his hand through his hair and tugged hard at the roots. Now he had no way of reaching his interview on time now, and he suspected that his prospective employers wouldn't take too kindly to him calling five minutes before his interview to say he couldn't make it, and ask to rearrange.

Nonetheless, Louis decided that it would be the mature thing to do and rang the company, and after being berated for nearly ten minutes for not calling earlier, he hung up with no rescheduled interview and wondering if maybe he had had a lucky escape, which was a shame because he really had wanted that job.
